Look, this thread started out legit, but I feel you guys are being a bit too troll-esque. I mean, OP is making a completely legitimate observation, and you guys are (literally?) shitting all over it. Diapers are tools, use whatever has the intended effect, disregarding hype and price.
That being said, tree barch or gtfo.

Do you a) throw your underwear away or b) rinse it in the toilet then throw it in the washer?
I 1) hear a Gomorrah playing the brown note; shit my pants
2) Yell out 'Aaaeeen' and go home to my family.

I love that this needs to be said.
BAD NEWS, LUDWIG: You done started a flame war. Of piss and shit.
And can someone please make urine notification crystals for my pedals? JAngle? Maybe etched into a 125B with top jacks?

And I don't think O Phobe has sufficiently responded to this, nor does it appear that he has renamed his band or album yet. So.

We used to get the Kirkland brand diapers and they worked perfect. Sure you'd get one pissed through every once and awhile, but that's bound to happen no matter what brand you buy.
I wish I was a hippie and would have used cloth diapers, but my God that's gross.
I'm proud to be a diaper free family!!

Yeah, it's time people put up or shut up. I posted a demo of the two diapers, demonstrating clearly that there's no difference between the generic diaper and the boutique diaper. In lieu of evidence to the contrary I'm FORCED TO CONCLUDE that boutique diapers are just ALL HYPE, with results easily replicated (and even surpassed) by Luvs.

I'm not talking about the hype or lack thereof in regards to 7th Heaven True Religion diapers or whatever you're using. I'm talking about the superiority of cloth diapers.
I'm trying to save the planet one bowel movement at a time and you guys are talking about piss crystals saving the flavor or whatever.

I'm a corporate shill. Pampers Cruisers 4 life, bitches. Fuck a landfill.
Seriously though, for you cloth people: What do you do with all the shit? And do you wait to run a full load of those, or do you put the shit diapers in with your normal clothes? And if you do a full load of shit diapers, what do you do with them while you're waiting on enough to run a full load?
Been curious about this for a while now.

My mom used cloth diapers for us back in the 80s/90s, there was a pickup service that would pick up your dirty diaper pail and drop off clean cloth diapers.

Still waiting for some evidence. Until then, going to stand by my well-supported position that all of these fancy options (cloth, seventh generation, etc) are inferior and over-hyped.

How are cloth diapers overhyped? They're the original diaper.
I don't know what proof you want. Cloth diapers are nice. They're not overly expensive and they can be reused with future children.
I'm not there yet but people say that because there are no chemicals giving you blue lines or wicking away 100% of the moisture your kid will have a harder time knowing they've wet themselves or whatever. Helping them be more in touch with their tiny baby bods.

Solid shit goes in the toilet. When each of my kids were just on milk and the poops were more liquid, we'd just put them in the bin with the other diapers. We wash a load of exclusively diapers every other day and we have a four day supply.

Exactly. Not sure how cloth diapers can be considered "fancy" either.

Now the true ILF battle lines are being drawn.

Cloth diapers vs. disposables
