agreed but just started giving 4 a second shot.
Also to make choices slimmer I hate D&D style fantasy games like elder scrolls stuff. I never bothered finishing Oblivion or Skyrim.
welp i don't have any suggestions then... :thumb:
kidding. maybe assassin's creed, hitman, dishonored...
katamari damacy
Didn't know there was a new Hitman. I really liked the 2nd one on the original xbox. I may also go back to FO4 to check out the mods, but as big and wide as that game was it lacked depth. Dishonored was one of my faves on the 360.

I've been through all of those but Dishonored 2. I think I played through the first Bioshock five or six times. It was like system shock II without the tedium. I think the only game I played through more often was Half-Life 2. Still waiting for HL3

NO!!! I hated FONV. Okay, well "hated" is an exaggeration. I know bethesda games often have a few bugs. I had so many broken quests and visual glitches in FONV I had to go back to old saves several times to finish it. And the whole multistep process to get to your Lucky 38 penthouse took a lot longer than visiting your house in megaton.
I'm not going to argue the merits of the stories. I thought they were both pretty good or a nonlinear game, but most sidequests in FONV just seemed like boring filler. The brotherhood of steel quests being the exception.

Probably my most played game recently, it's mostly just a PMC simulator but with a weird hyperreality tone. Story is pretty underrated, but you can listen to story Tapes while you play :idk:

Ha, I loved New Vegas. I did come across a couple of annoying bugs, but I certainly liked it a whole lot better than 4.

I've done the same w the first Bioshock too. I think that's probably my favorite video game ever aside from, I dunno... Zelda.

I always just default to final fantasy games because you can get lost in countless side quests.

But xbox one only has XV or something like that.

Dishonored 2 is great, but it's kind of in the same vein as Oblivion and Skyrim, which I think you may dig if you give them a real chance. I mean you get to kill basically everything in them....sooooooooooooooo what's not to like? The whole point of gaming is to murder things on the screen isn't it? That's why I play at least.

My favorite game ever was probably Wasteland back in the 8bit days. (the early roots of the FO franchise) Played through it several times as a kid, but could never quite finish the ending. Eventually somewhere in my mid 30s I played it on a C64 emulator and finally finished it 20 years later.

I never had a NES    so no zelda for me except for occasionally at a friends house.

But Bioshock took storying telling in video games to a new level just at the time that everyone else was becoming multiplayer-centric.

When I finished New Vegas I think I had 50 pounds of gear I couldn't drop. There were two areas of the map I couldn't visit or the game would freeze and the auto save would be corrupt. Veronica limped everywhere like she was injured. My best weapon was a sniper rifle, but it developed a bug at some point so that whenever you aimed the stock of the rifle covered the entire screen, so it was useless.

I also found interesting characters in that game few and far between... at the very least though, they were the ones you spoke with the most. Veronica, Victor, Mr. House, etc.
Taking on the legion solo was fun too.

I loved the first Dishonored. I loved that stealth was usually rewarded. There's ways of moving around not often used in games. To me it doesn't feel like D&D simply pasted into a FPS environment. Oblivion definitely did feel this way. In spite of that I put many hours into it, but only when I didn't have anything else to play. When i finished a game I'd play oblivion for a while. Get bored. Buy a new game.
Skyrim was definitely improved, but still never really connected. Killing dragons was fun. Dredging through endless caves killing goblin after goblin to search for some magical item, not so much.
