Or get yourself a dual momentary looper, leave them latched in the loop and click clicky to your heart's content.

That's not how they get used actually. Im usually playing a part and I'll hit the up one and then it will be back down when I go to hit the down one. Its rare that there is any overlap between the way the two function. The latency is when neither is doing anything but are in momentary mode. I can have zero pedals on my board on and there is noticeable latency just because there are two Ricochets 'on deck' to pitch shift at any moment. One isn't bad so I can leave one on momentary. Two is too much unfortunately.DigiTechRep wrote:It is more than latency, by using two Ricochets you are also pitch-shifting an already pitch-shifted signal. Possibly although that would require two very custom cables I don't want to make.Chankgeez wrote:Would running them in parallel help?

That wouldn't work with how those pedals work. The switch simulates the action of a treadle. Its not just an on/off switch.spacelordmother wrote:Or get yourself a dual momentary looper, leave them latched in the loop and click clicky to your heart's content.

Re: Latency is a bitch.
We spent a good deal of time trying to get the momentary mode just right, but unfortunately latency is the nature of the pitch-shifting beast. We could reduce latency by ramping into/out of DSP 'dry' at various rates and times, but that had its own set of issues (audible thumping). While fitting the Whammy into this small form factor, true-bypass latching and buffered momentary was our happy medium.

Re: Latency is a bitch.
You could leave which ever one you use more on momentary and the other one on latching? Not perfect but maybe negotiable.

Re: Latency is a bitch.
Decided to try the parallel arrangement and ordered some tiny Canare GS4 to make two Y cables. This opens up the possibility of using both at once to gliss a single note into a chord and back to a single note.
Edit - actually this wont work because then there will always be dry signal from the other side of the signal chain.
