Id always recommend Nick but if you can't get on the Riff Filled Land preorder, Dunn effects are also offering the Green Priest at the moment.

Also good quality stuff.

Just emailed Nick about the Dunwich DA120 and there may be more soon, maybe december? Did anyone try the Tainted Audio Fx Dagon 120 overdrive? A Dunn Zealot would be an option, if you can find one used.

I can vouch for the model feT. It nails the feel of a Model T. John made some improvements for the V2

I love my Holy Mountain, only waited about 4-6 weeks for it to show up, and that was back during the holiday season. :idk:
That being said, it showed up with the LED not even in the bezel because there wasn't any way for it to be, so.
From what I read, the whole Science thing turned out to be a build for a friend of his and he hasn't made any hints towards actually selling Lunes otherwise.

All that being said, I'd totally buy his stuff second hand or from a dealer because I haven't really seen graphics anywhere else that look like his (Omen and Engine Evil notwithstanding) and I've (so far) liked the sound of his various fuzzes.
However, I've read from others that some of them sound fairly generic, but I have no experience with them, so I couldn't say one way or the other.

Also, John posts here now and I believe Matt from Dunn does as well, so look em up?

John has a sub forum in the Shark Tank. Don't think Dunn Matt is a frequent poster outside BST but maybe PM or find him on instagram or facebook where he's super active.

kevdes93 wrote:I've had a giant sound and a sonic violence that I bought second hand that were both good pedals, well made and sounded great. Bought a Skyhorse from Chicago music exchange that showed up broken so back it went. Then I made the terrible mistake of ordering a holy mountain direct on may 15th that I have yet to receive. He disappeared in June only to reappear in early September saying how he's been sick blah blah and he said all pending orders went out even if people got their money back from PayPal, which was cool I guess. I messaged him on the 13th of September and he assured me it was sent, and it's still not here so who knows if he actually sent it. I messaged him last night asking if he could check on my order and no response so far.

So I guess if you like his designs, buy one used. When/if my holy mountain ever shows up it's going straight to reverb.
That's absolutely fucked. I thought he might have got his shit together. Still waiting since May the 15th? You have more patience than me, I would have got Paypal to sort that out long before now... dibs on Reverb flip though...

The consensus so far from actual past owners seems to be that Nic is completely horrible business owner, which is old news, but that the pedals are actually fairly sick. Which is a silver lining. And I'd would defo be keen to take a pop at a new one from a dealer, or especially a second hand one. Although I've literally never seen any up second hand.

Thread got a bit derailed, but thanks for all the other suggestions nonetheless. I need to check out the shark tank for sure. Dunn pedals sound cool, but I hate those cheesy graphics so much that it puts me off. Really appreciate the heads up on the Dunwich 'Riff Filled Land' (nice name bro...), finding it hard to restrain myself from preordering that right now.

Edit. Also holy shit... the model FeT is amazing. Need. I wonder how it compares to the Giant Sound. I didn't consider how bad this place was going to be for my bank balance.

I will vouch for John from Electronic Audio. I etched some stuff for him in the very beginning of him starting off and he is a true gentleman and all around awesome dude. Same goes for Nick from Dunwhich. Supremely cool dude.

The above story is what I was talking about with that dude from Midnight. He pulled that shit here and it's fucking sad dude because the people that did get to try his shit said it was amazing. So I'd ONLY buy second hand, but honestly for me, I just wouldn't buy. I can't get behind someone who would knowingly fuck others over.

^^ At this point there are enough options that you can buy from rad people so I just prefer to do that.

It's a great point. There is a beautiful abundance of choice these days. You chaps have morals and integrity. I on the other hand, don't. I'm battling with the idea of whether I want to directly/indirectly support someone who has fucked over so many people, as you say, even if the product is great.

Nic handled it so badly too. If he'd just come clean and stopped taking orders for a while and got all his shit in one sock and made things right, it would all have blown over. He burned his reputation over things so easily rectified.

It seemed like he just couldn't handle any kind of criticism at all. His dramatic response to someone's mutterings about his pedal called the "slave driver"? Or the paranoid post about other people ripping off his designs?

Dude I wish the threads still existed about all this shit so it'd make more sense. Someone that's smart find an archive thread!
