i remember this!
OK, so i took a 1 second sample (from about 0:16 to 0:17ish) of a note and put it in the op-1, and made it legato and made some shit up.
so with a really, really small sample this is what is sounds like when i play it having the op-1 play it faster/slower (you can hear it clicking when replaying it, i didn't mess with it much. i did all of this + upload it inside of 5 minutes, so it's not in any way a comprehensive test).

This sounds nice. When I get it, I will post a video so you can see what I was talking about in the other thread.

I ask that you wait for my video before you make that decision.

Yeah it sends voltage to the tape player to make it faster or slower.

You can't afford not to get it, IMO.

Mine should be here tomorrow (or today if you are reading this tomorrow). I guess we will see if this thing sucks or don't.

Ok, so here is just a quick 1 minute clip. This is the first 5 minutes of me having this thing. The sample tapes I used were some random guitar playing I recorded awhile ago, and a Bavarian folk song tape.
There is some popping towards the end, I am not sure where that came from...if that was from this synth or a loose cable or something. Hopefully that was an anomaly and won't occur all the time.
I'll make some better clips when I have a moment, but it seems to be pretty sweet so far if you like weird stuff.

That popping would be a deal breaker for me if it's constant, but otherwise it sounds cool.
IDK how feasible it would be to have you play it in real time on video, rather than playing back the recording, but that might be a little more useful for anyone on the fence.

sounded like spookys, effects?
Sorry to scare you. Yeah, this was just a loop I created on my Infinity Looper and played it back while filming the synth so you knew what I was using. I didn't think you would want to see me swapping out tapes and stuff, although some folks have asked to see how I create things, so maybe I will make a video or live stream of my song creation methods sometime.

Yeah, Ill have some more time with tomorrow to explore the popping to see if it occurs again. And yeah, as mentioned above, maybe I will do a real time video.

Just popping in to say there has been no more popping. Must have been a fluke or maybe not even related to this thing.
