Moral of the story: Don't start no stuff wont be no stuff, keep your hands to yourself, M Y O B

I was raised to respect my elders, providing they maintain decorum and are respectful themselves.
Being old or female doesn't make it OK to confront a stranger and assault them, while sharing angry unsolicited opinions.
Entitled, miserable cunts like that think strangers have to put up with their shit. Next time maybe she'll think twice.
Her husband is a bitch too. Both of them are old enough to know better. :|:

I picture them all dressed like cowboy Curtis and spazzing out every time someone says the secret word. I never realized how Conway Twitty inspired generations of televangelist fashion. This has been an enlightening experience.
There's also all the skanky adult/dancer billboards, up and down the freeway, too...

Yeah, dude. Connecticut is relatively well educated. There's a heavy catholic bent around New Haven [lots of us Italians] and there's usually charming small protestant churches on quaint town greens all over the place, but there's no mega-church culture like the west or south has.

There's a lot of "hipster youth" churches here in Oregon that confuse me.

So much this.

Because, having read through the bible, sexual abuse is fundamental to Christians. As well as prostitutes, sodomites and idiots who mix fabric in their garments. And other stuff. Because Jesus was high on rye ergot and his bromo friends too.

Yeah I'm kinda sorry I bought them up but "hipster youth churches" was really the key stepping stone there.
Because what better way to bring an outdated religion into the new Millenia and make it relevant, than by running the Protestant televangelist model like its a corporation of the magnitude of Apple?

Ergot should have given JC a mass introspective hole to crawl into and assess his self and place in the universe more clearly.
Pretty sure he was just hammering the wine and hubris.

She's clearly a cunt.
Lifelong cunt.
Cunt lifer.
Cuntlyfe.

Her cuntyness is not in question. But Space seems to love escalating things for the sake of escalation. Not sure what purpose it serves except to become a brag track. There's no reaching true cunts (something something reacharound joke), and insulting her publicly really only reinforces her goofy-ass position.

I get what you're saying but, I don't see the point in copping a torrent of verbal shit from someone just because you wore a shirt and they're old.
The tragedy is she's lived her whole life like that and nobody told her sooner.
Unless someone did and it made her more that way, but my bet is that's unlikely.

Personally, I guess I would have been too taken aback, and my general skills to diffuse a situation are to treat psychos as such and give them little to nothing to work with, but inside I am screaming "cunt" at them.

So, if this event did transpire as Space has served it up for us, I salute his witty retort and composure.

Failing that, the sentiment is bang on.

Technically poking a finger in someone's chest is petty assault.

The great irony is that miserable bitch assaulted & berated dude for *being a godless piece of shit* and even attempted getting inside his head without knowing anything about him... suggesting if Jesus were in his life then he wouldn't be such a miserable piece of shit and instead enjoy life as a happy, well-adjusted individual. Like her :whateva:

My impulse would have been the same. I'm saying that responding with a 'torrent of verbal shit' (not the same thing, but 'logorrhea' is one of my favorite words) is unproductive. And I don't really care about her age...hasn't figured in what I'm thinking.

I know how unpopular moderate responses are. But you might actually create a more humane bridge across the insanity gap by not lashing out...it's harder to do, which, to my thinking, is a sign that it's probably a better thing to do. Exchanges like this one are hilarious...but it's just more partisan bickering and 'us vs. them' nonsense.

I also love that my work schedule means that I post on antipodal time...the only real-time person to talk with is IP (no complaint, though).
