The thread was...premature, Jwar.

Re: @
"I had a very bad experience with a pedal maker recently over a box. I bought a pedal directly from the maker and they sent it without the box. I told them i was a little disappointed that it did not come in a box and they replied demanding their pedal back for a refund. I sent the pedal back and when i knew the pedal was returned and i asked for a refund. I did get it but not before the maker made some comments and did not give a straight answer about the refund. He said he would have his accountant give me the refund sometime in the future. i had to check my paypal periodically to see if he was going to give me it. I got nervous and filed a BBB case to secure my refund. After i found out i got a refund from checking my paypal account i had traded some words i am not proud of and he did the same. He called me a poser and a crybay. I have been playing music for over thirty years which he did not know. He assumed because i expected a box to come with the pedal i was a poser and a crybaby. Whatever he thought i was, there is one absolute truth, I was acustomer.I made some remarks about him not just telling me he was issuing a refund nasty e-mails went back and forth questioning the integrity of box or no box. Obviously he did not think the box was important adn that i must not play the pedals i buy. I tried to explain that i carry around different pedals to different sessions and a box helps protect them. I called out the maker and said , if the box packaging is not important then why do the pedals have detailed artwrok on them. SHould not the pedals if made with such integrity not merit fancy artwork? Anyhow, yeah I am a crybaby as what he called me but certainly not a poser or a non player. Wow was that a a hassle purchase. This is a shout out to Mark from BAT that threatened to post my e-mails of us trading insults back and forth."jwar wrote:Ahh what was this all about!! Soon. I'm going to go dig up the stump thread. I guess I haven't looked since last week. Maybe nothing new is there? I dunno. The Dennis Hopper story really isn't that interesting.Iommic Pope wrote:I want to hear this.lordgalvar wrote:

I want this thread to be like the time I stood behind Tim Robbins at a record store and just thought he was a tall dude. Then he bought his stuff and my wife told me it was Tim Robbins. He was wearing a vest. I wish I knew what he bought.
I yelled at the Edge once in front of a Smashing Pumpkins concert while talking to a heroin addict. I really don't like smashing pumpkins...the things I do for my wife. Haha. Got to see old people clap and nod in agreement to Liz Phair 's lyrics so it was all worth it.
Edit: changed nob to nod

Actually, a full transcript of those e-mails might be more entertaining that this thread is so far.

Yep, because BAT has such a terrible reputation around here. No one likes the pedals they make...
I hope captain-two-post-count sticks around. Seems like a lot of fun.
