The show's still running, and they make movies every 6 months? There's literally a Pokemon movie coming out tomorrow. I don't think most PoGo players care about pokemon. The game's popular because it's silly.

But had my first gym battle yesterday, and that battle system sucks Rapidash balls.

Some guy with a 1900 cp pokemon took over the gym closest to my apartment. There are wayyyyy too many pokestops/gyms here. I can hit anywhere from 3-5 pokestops when I'm on my lunch at work, that is without leaving the office. In a half hour I can walk to/battle four gyms if I wanted to. If you have a significant amount of time to spend playing this game during the day here you can level up to the 20's fairly easy... So, trying to take a gym here is almost impossible because of all the super high-level pokemon people have here.

Last person to think I'm too cool for the gene pool, but after seeing the retardation en masse, can't say I can get behind it.
I thought it was a cool idea at first and my wife downloaded it, but neither of us are particularly impressed and vid has pointed out some pretty major let downs with it.
I guess I just don't see what all the hysteria and vapours are about.

It's an objectively bad game, but it's popular and people like it so I don't want to feel like a narc. Though it's cool to see the Media twist the game to be against pesky millennials and their addiction to technology again.

I did play some last night while being stuck at a wedding, mainly catching Zubats and getting free stuff at the Pokestop I was at. The Evolution system is bullshit.

I just got to level 20, the mext level is 50K exp away... I've learned some things. Don't level up your shit after you evolve it. Ideally, though, don't level anything hold onto that stardust for if you actually get a Charizard/Blastoise/whatever. Almost immediately after leveling up I caught a 1250 cp Nidoking. Use that stardusr to level up stuff with real fighting power that's rare, and ideally before you evolve it.

Don't rename the Pokémons, you sociopath.
