Wait, so fucking many of us grew up in CT. What the fuck is this shit?
New Haven Pizza is the best. Simply put.
The Space was a funny/decent venue when i was in high school.
Redscroll Records is pretty cool, and though i haven't seen or spoken to the owners in ages now, i have fond memories of them both.
Hartford was kind of a hole when i lived there, except for the incredibly small crust punk scene.
There was a really good ice cream place around Hamden or Wallingford, but it's been years since i've been there.
Is Shandall's in Bridgeport still open? My favorite vegan food in CT.
Stew Leonard's is like a twisted nightmare carnival grocery store in Norwalk.
I just read the Pleasure Beach re-opened two years ago, which is a fucking shame, because it was an amazing ghost town.
There's a haunted Graveyard on either 58 or 59 that is really cool.
There are a lot of Ghost Towns in CT.
The Long Island Sound is hideously dirty.
Let me think about this more.

Daily reminder that CT is just a glorified yuppie suburb of New York and or New England?

Not for nothing, but it's easy to squash entire states to singular stereotypes? Best not mention Bridgeport or Waterbury or whatnot.

Sure it is, that's why it's fun. For example:

Turns out all of New England is weird and culturally distinct from many other places i've been.

When I move to the US I gotta go by CT again. Part seeing my childhood town, part seeing that sign D.o.S posted, part seeing all the other stuff you all mentioned

I lived in Rowayton when I was 3 to6 years old, so I'm not an American citizen or anything. My sister was born in Norwalk though, so she had triple passports lol. I guess I just drew the short straw. The world/internet is really small sometimes

Rowayton is, to my memory, a part of Norwalk that broke off!

Is "Rockland" where Anthrax (US) is from?
I got off on that Yankees stop to see the stadium before they tore it down....that is one barren, eerie neighborhood on an off day. Kinda reminded me of nature/hunters point 10 years ago when nothing was happening.
I kinda just wanted to flaunt my Angels hat...you know, 2002. But that's all we have outside of trout and Nolan Ryan (but we got him from the Mets...so wash?).
