We met and up and hit it off and he goes "ah, one question about your ad, what is this four-two-zero I must be friendly with?" Ended up being an awesome roommate. When he would get drunk he would flex his arms and say "let us sing... MANOWAR!!" and we would.
Everything about this is awesome.
Damn, I dream of having a roommate that cool. I'd just get high and drunk with mine and play Mario Tennis and Mario Kart. That's cool, but not drunk German dude asking for Manowar cool.

Drunk German dude asking for Manowar rules.

My two craigs in New York were both vaguely punk/punk-aligned, but it was really strange when after like 5 months of living together i ran into one of them at a power violence show we both attended on our own and i was just like, "Oh, hello person i live with."

I mean surely there are guitar shops in Denver, right?

Ignoring the fact that they can be cesspools of shred, they are definitely the places to investigate if you were looking for potential people to play music with.

Then there are ads like this where I can't tell is it a joke or what. Vo-KILList is a good line.

Looking to play with serious grinders who don't have any commitments like kids or full time jobs to interfear with they're music.

Are you questioning my dedication to be a serious grinder? I guess I do have a full time job though.

Tell me about it! Where are all the people who just want some friends to jam with and see what happens? Why do all my friends who play music live nowhere near me?

To be honest, I'd be happy finding two guys who could jam on Am, Bm7b5, and Em for an hour at a relaxing volume, kicking out lovely fills and solos and sipping glasses of this "iced tea" I read about in another thread on here. Having the respect to switch off between rhythm and lead would be a nice touch. A drummer that could gently tap away in the background while putting a boogie in your butt would be a pretty damn nice find.

All of this is so pie in the sky, it's almost not worth even daydreaming about, after shopping the local craigslist for 2 years now.

Wait why don't you just post that in a craiglist ad?

Seconded. Sounds like you already wrote your CL ad. Just post it. Anyone who responds to it will probably have at least a little of what you're looking for, or provide for a great story down the road at worst.
