I'm not sure why God wouldn't have a purple fridge. :animal:

I've sold a bunch of stuff on there, done OBO, accepted reasonable offers, and made reasonable counters to low balls. The counter offers are a waste of time.

But then again, offers from idiots can also be a waste of time. Some a-hole offered something reasonable and I accepted after seeing if I would get a better offer in the 24 hour period. Accepted offer means an order. He snarked back that I waited too long, bad on me. Nope, sorry, it's still in order. Moron got dinged for nonpayment. Relisted when clear of him and sold at my full ask within a day.

Personally, I'd ignore someone who made an offer three bucks less than what I posted, all the while having a very hard time not chewing them out over it. This isn't the fucking citywide garage sale, and your pedal isn't a cutout Donny Osmond record. People indeed get a kick out of "winning," but I refuse to indulge that kind of selfish, neurotic behavior, or any kind of weasely attempts for filet mignon on a burger budget, because it's usually not out of financial necessity. It's usually just rudeness.

Haha I got a little mad there... I guess people constantly trying to screw me over in my line of work has led me to especially loathe this kind of garbage.

Why don't you do the first draft on spec and if we like it we can talk points?

On a slightly related note. I just pulled all my listings from Reverb.com. I had like 30 watchers total, have lowered prices on shit, and even have the option to make an offer on everything. Yet I get nothing. LOL!! Why are you watching it?? Are you waiting for free??? Well, fuck that man. I'm tired of losing money on gear. Bunch of cheap bastards. hahaha

Heh. As much as I've been tempted to drag things out, I feared a similar situation. I've either countered or accepted within a few hours, because I thought after 12 hours I'd end up in a similar situation.

I have 42 watchers on a single item. It's $100 off retail already, which is the lowest price anywhere on the Web. I thought perhaps it would sell at tax season. No sir. I've thought for a while that eventually it'd go out through Affirm, but nope. If people can't afford $40 a month, then why are they watching it? I've definitely been where you are many times. I don't even understand why people are into boutique gear, if they can't afford it. I wouldn't watch an eBay auction for a Lamborghini, so why are broke people watching my tape delay auctions? The whole vicarious internet window watcher thing is weird to me.

I'm about to start putting up mega trade lists on all my high-dollar items. If I can't sell something for $700, maybe I can acquire $710 worth of stuff in trade?

Just a mild counterpoint: I will sometimes watch rarer/more valuable things if I have one and I want to see what they're selling for (I did this with my DC and I still do it with my OR120, for example), not because I actively want to buy it.

Yes, I wouldn't disagree with that. I've thought for a while that 25-50% of my watchers are dealers or owners. They're trying to see how low I'll have to go before finally unloading the item.
