I definitely need some cat kids. I'm just a little hesitant because the next client company I work for could be on the other side of the country, and I'm not sure how to move a kitty and allllll my stuff if I have to move using airlines...
I do play lots of synth-wave and stoner metal out loud. I haven't listened to Collective Soul in a long time...

Nah. I do however listen to music on my laptop sometimes. I don't exclusively listen to Collective Soul just because I like them. LOL.
Most of the time I'm listening to something pretty heavy.
Another thing nice about living without roommates, is I can play my bass as loud as I want in my basement and no one cares. My used to but she gave up. LOL

Roommates are not friends, unless they were friends before you lived together. You've entered into a mutually beneficial transaction with them to have a place to sleep and keep your stuff. I promise no matter what you tell each other you won't keep in touch or grab a beer sometimes. No beers will be had, actually.
Just be transparent early on and if you want to be nice try to help them find someone to take the room. If your (sub)lease is month to month seems like it's not an obligation, but if it helps you feel better about it, go for it.
