I've brought a floppy disk and a pager to Craters of the Moon ( https://www.nps.gov/crmo/index.htm ) in the trunk of my car before.

Sadly ur mom wasn't with.

Imma build a disc delay based on a stationary bike, the faster you pedal, the faster the delay.

Bike backwards and you get a reverse delay.

Cool delay, nowhere near worth the price for me. Weird layout/selection of the controls

I'm not at liberty to say anything about that other disc delay. I also don't know anything about it.

Heard about it. Cool.
If the price were around 500 I'd seriously consider it

I'm that guy that bought the Space Case Tape Echo regardless of the $950 price tag + approx. €220 import duties/VAT.
I love the way it sounds + the ease of use regarding the cassettes and the external stomp switch (this ties neatly into my currently under construction tabletop set-up).
That said, had I known that the TREX Replicator would've started shipping around the same time that the TE-1 Space Case arrived (I ordered/paid in Dec. '15 but received early April), then I would've opted for the TREX device at €850.

I'm a sucker for this kinda gear, even the shit that costs around 1k, but 2k or more is a price I'd only pay for an EGC bass VI, a point to point wired tube amp or MAYBE a Binson Echorec in good condition.
As said, if someone did a floppy disk delay at 500-1000 $/€/£ I'd be down, because even though I've already got 2 very exotic (and expensive) delays, I also still lust for the Avalanche Run, Tonal Recall, Particle/Raster, Echo Degrader, etc...

TREX has tap tempo which is the only feature I feel is missing on the TE-1.

Yea, I think I would prefer the foot switch functionality of the trex no doubt. Those TE-1's seem so neat though

I've hardly even seen anyone buy one of those T.Rex tape echos. Hopefully they'll drop in price. :excellent:

Funny as it sounds, I'd be more prone to get the floppy disk one than the T Rex.

I don't have much faith in smaller than 1/4" tape, and proprietary carts turn me off hardcore.

Read some guys saying they were shit or something, I think it was in a thread somewhere about the Space Case, funnily enough, which sounds amazing.

the space case is pretty cool because it's a table/amp top unit with its own footswitch and the price tag is sorta okay for it being handmade, but this is just.. well, i'm not at liberty to say.

That was my first thought ... please step on this switch and break the one right above it.

my second thought? not at liberty to say.

I don't get the functions at all. They seem incredibly lame. How about a switch that speeds the tape up instead of stopping the motor? Why the fuck would you even want to do that? Isn't that what a bypass switch is for? LOL. Cool feature bro. It turns it off. hahaha
