All the hugs. That's such a hard thing, even harder for the students. I had a bud commit suicide and it seriously took me years for all the emotions.

i was on the precipice recently and a lot of you guys saved me.

i just wish someone could have done something for him. anything, to have one less human being that we didn't need to lose; that's the saddest fucking thing.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Case Candy.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Thanks so much, guys. Seriously... you are the best. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. When I got home my wife had agreed to take a 3-year-old foster child for the night. He had obviously been abused, or if not abused, neglected to the point of abuse. They said that he'd been in his previous home for four months, and they couldn't say much because of confidentiality, but did disclose that his previous home was not suitable. Knowing that, I shuddered looking at his fingernails. Long, jagged, black with dirt underneath. Where would he have gotten them dirty in the last four months? The town I live in is encased in snow. It makes Hoth look like Antigua. I came to the on-the-fly conclusion that he must have gotten them that dirty inside. Eek. Kid looks like a Grade-B turkey. Every bodypart covered in scab. At dinnertime, he asked me if he was allowed to eat every single individual fry on his plate, one after the other. Holds up a fry, motions to it, asks with a monosyllabic grunt, "Eh?" "Yes, you can eat that. That's yours. All that food is yours." Repeat until fries are gone. He proceeded to throw a number of objects at my son and freaked out when I tried to remove his clothes for a bath, and cried through having his diaper changed, screaming at me, "No, no, no, no, no, no!" Like the cat in the YouTube video. It was like a fuckin' scene from the second half of What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He screamed all night and my son didn't sleep at all. Neither did I or my wife. After what happened is sort of like... "Lord, take me now." To quote Stuart McLean.

It's been a rough 24 hours and you guys & gals are amazing. I love you. No Full homo.

Whoever said it... hell yes, depression is terrifying. Every literary metaphor ever made comparing it to a monster or a demon is fully accurate and justified. It kills from within. That's scarier than the other monsters.
