I guess I never understood why treating people with respect and courtesy was such an affront to some people, my father included. I mean, if someone has a preferred pronoun or they want their race to be called a certain thing, why go against that? My given name is Charlie. I prefer to be called Charles or Chuck. If someone calls me Charlie, I politely ask them to call me Charles or Chuck. If they keep calling me Charlie, I stop talking to them.

But all my life I've been told I have an *inappropriate sense of humor* to which my longstanding prepared answer is NO U. Silliness is too fun.
There are misguided fools who believe laughing or harmless joking about something is self-fulfilling prophecy or proof of feelings, attitudes. Even simply discussing or examining an issue from *wrong perspectives* is *dangerous* to <insert victimized identity>.
Because they don't want to hear it.
There are also fools who believe any depiction of scantily-clad women sends a message of "misogyny" or "sexism" because they don't want to see it.
Nope. Intent matters. Context.
Some fools selfishly seek to mandate their opinion, under the guise of self-appointed representatives for oppressed people.
I will not entertain the tyranny of pearl-clutching moral busybodies who want to control what I see/say/think & do.
Aspiring authoritarians & despots can go screw. They will lose the culture war in spite of all their fear mongering, deceit & treachery.
2016 is the year the media turns & pushes back on socjus extremists like these idiot student protestors crying for safe spaces & segregation on university campuses, censorship & no-platforming *dangerous opinions*. Because it isn't about honesty. It isn't about fairness or equality. It isn't about being a good person. It's about control.
Beware anyone who thinks they know how you should live your life & coerce you into *decision-making*
Similarly beware the Sylvester McMonkey McBeans of the world who are looking to part fools of their money by exploiting fear, anger, jealousy.

Write whatever song you want, code whichever game you wish to make, dress however you like & enjoy your hobby of choice the best way you see fit. Enjoy yourself while you still can, just be mindful that consequences are real and others will have different ideas. They can coexist when extremism and authoritarianism are taboo. By contextualizing, behaving situationally one minimizes alienating loved ones & individuals worthy of respect. Respect is something you earn, demanding the world give it and change around *you* is supreme selfishness & disrespect. You catch more flies with honey...yak yak yak.

I do love people but the reality is trust don't come easy. Neither do exceptional displays of creativity.

Saying "there is no patriarchy in the west" is kinda false though. Patriarchy doesn't refer to different laws for men and women, but structural things, like what is accepted and expected from different genders. I kinda find that acknowledging patriarchy isn't a radical opinion at all. Like for instance the difference of women vs men in power, why jobs that are women dominated are if you think of it extensions of jobs that were done in the homes before, like teaching, cleaning, nursing etc etc. And in terms of sex there is a massive difference of what is expected and accepted. You all know it, this is hardly radical or controversial opinions is it?
