I've also been predicting almost exactly this product since day one of the B9's release. Can't wait for the eventual "Mellotron-izer" pedal that applies Mellotron style tape effects to any signal.
Since you knocked it out of the park on this one, could you please predict that Earthquaker Devices will put out a deluxe Arpanoid that will allow you to select the scale/mode/key for the arpeggios? Thanks.
Aarp is your friend. That and the pitchgrinder.

I can see myself full-on selling my keyboard for this. Would like to hear the cello setting with some higher notes/chords but this seems awesome.

Time to part wth my C9, got it for the Mellotron....ugh

Tracking on these are instantaneous btw for those wondering. They aren't sample based, so tracking isn't even really a thing with them. Great pedals imo.

He said the same thing in the video and I didn't really understand what he meant. What does it not being sample based have to do with tracking?

I've never been hugely tempted by any of these organ/key-type pedals before...but man, I think I want this.

I will say that I'm intrigued, but I will wait for some hands on feedback from fellow ILFers before I go get my wallet. That cello sound was wonderful. Flute as well. Very interesting!

If it were sample based, the pedal would have to figure out exactly what note you were playing and then play the sample associated with that note. As it sits (prepare for a lot of speculation on the part of an electrical engineer and EHX fan), the 9 series combines the spectral gate from the HOG with a lot of serious, extreme filtering/wave shaping/etc to do a real time processing of the Input signal until it sounds like the desired organ/Mellotron tape/whatever. If anyone cares I'm more than happy to go into seriously obsessive detail about my exact theory on how this whole series of pedals works with crude experimental data and all that.
I play guitar and modular synthesizer in Juggable Offense.

I've been messing around with mellotron apps for a couple of years, hoping they would do this. So stoked. Anyone have a street price yet?
