And if DOTA and League seem to have a higher learning curve then you're interested in then you could try Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm.
Also free to play is Hearthstone which is a but more RNG-loving Magic the Gathering-esque card game. Very fun to play if you're into that sort of thing.

Elder Scrolls Online is free to play but you'll have to buy the game, first. It seems to go on sale quite a bit.

The one problem I have with League is that they make drastic changes far too often. I recently started playing again after like a 3 month break and it's completely different. Riot has like no idea what they want to do with that game or something.

Meanwhile, I had a ~2 year break from Dota and I was able to jump in with relative ease. Even with a couple new items/number tweaks it didn't feel like the world had completely changed around me.

totally.. they revamp everything just about every season just for shits and giggles it seems. kind of just cater to the competitive level and even then, it's pretty stale at this point. I haven't played in months. used to be stupid addicted to it for a while until I realized I have better things to do than sit on my ass for 30 minutes getting raged at or playing an unwinnable match.

dota is hella fun but there is just soooo muchhhhh to learn. I figured why not just learn another language

Yea, Hearthstone is a total pay to win game in my eyes. I dropped it super hard after that.

League now is... weird. I don't get it. All the items are fucked up and fuck it.

We should have a ILF dota 2 group where we all lose every game. So far we have D.o.S. and I. Get in on it resin.
