"Three for three on bearded Michiganders. My hair is very coarse, and every single little curly beard hair gets ingrown when shaved with a razor. Haven't been clean shaven in probably a decade. Also, it helps me look older and unkempt, both of which are good professional moves for me."

Same with me. I shaved once with a real razor and it was a mess of painful ingrown hairs. NEVER AGAIN!

I've had one since mid-July last year. Makes shaving just a couple minutes cleaning the neck/cheek line rather than a long process which is nice, but I'm getting a little tired of it, honestly. I do enjoy not getting carded anymore though.

I've been growing winter beards since 2006, but decided last winter to stop shaving it off in the spring. I've now had a beard for about 15 months and I think it will be sticking around for a while. But I keep it pretty trimmed, since I'll be job hunting soon and need to look pseudo-professional.

Been keeping mine shaved for the past few years, basically because I'm a contrarian turd sometimes and somehow thought I was being edgy by rebelling against beards and man-buns. I've let it go for a couple weeks out of laziness though and might just see where it goes. No man bun happening though, ever.

Should also note that I'm 36 and am only now able to grow a beard that I'd qualify as half decent, haha...

I trimmed back last night.
Semi regretting it now.
My sideburns were getting gross and gnarly, so they went. Established a clean jawline and shaped down to my chin, cleaned up my mo (possibly too much).
Getting back to my Russian literati look.
At least I tell myself that's what it is.

Could always go Master and Margarita themed and start hanging out with a giant cat.

I've been growing a shitty beard since November to detract people from talking to me and it's been working splendidly so far. Aunt last night asked me how I plan on meeting women with this and could happily say "I don't."

Might trim it though because it totally looks like shit.

I largely think they don't. Not that I show up often or post much

Or if they do they assume I am constantly in a bad mood or scowling because my picture isn't of something smiling
