Pro Tip: Drinking wine from a coffee mug holds the temperature longer and makes this a non issue.

I like to hold it by the bowl because I'm not usually allowed to do that when serving wine (because of fingerprints and shit) so drinking by the bowl makes me feel empowered. Also totally agree with UC that white wine is usually way worse + sweet wine is fucking disgusting

it really depends on the quality of wine. Personally I prefer red wine, but there are some dishes that just ask for a great white wine. You just have to buy wisely. You can't go wrong with gewurtztraminer, muller thurgau, a good chardonnay, or a pinot grigio. Then there are the south italy whites. So really, in the end there's only good wine and bad wine.
oh and 90% of time rosè sucks, just a reminder.

I don't think you'd survive the trip to the guillotine.

When we moved from France to the US, My dad asked our favorite wine guy to pick out a couple decades worth of special occasion wines for us based on the ones he thought would age nicely. He did, but the movers messed up the shipping, so we're finding more and more of them have gone bad. So we now play wine roulette every time I visit him. Pick out 3 nice ones and hope that at least one is still good. It's getting harder and harder.

The best wine is actually named after France itself. It is called Franzia.

Actually, the best wine I've ever had was in Italy.
