Oh hey!
Yeah I have been a lurker the past few months. Mostly busy with life plus not having a solid desk/computer set up. I also am sort of not into whats going on in the pedal culture right now.

Too much new stuff to keep track of! But I do pop in here still, I promise.
ALTHOUGH... Fallout 4 is coming out next week, sooooooooo... I will be pretty nonexistent to the world and the internet.

Best quote in the article:
“Don’t come over to America and try to turn people to your way of thinking.”

I'm quite concerned about rising xenophobia and anti-Islamic sentiment...
Majewski, whose family emigrated from Poland in the early 20th century, admitted to a few concerns of her own. Business owners within 500 feet of one of Hamtramck’s four mosques can’t obtain a liquor license, she complained, a notable development in a place that flouted Prohibition-era laws by openly operating bars. The restrictions could thwart efforts to create an entertainment hub downtown, said the pro-commerce mayor.
...but this rubs me. Don't touch my booze!

Yeah, I'm all for respecting other people's beliefs, but maybe not at the expense of the long term health of the entire community. That area probably needs all the "pro-commerce" help it can get.
Also, my favorite quote is only funny because I immediately thought that the speaker of it could've easily been a Native American to a European. People have an incredibly short memory when it comes to events which haven't occured in their lifetime.

It was very interesting how they emphasized his wolf/eagle-feather garb in that same paragraph.
I was being semi tongue-in-cheek on my last comment. I am genuinely concerned about Islamaphobia in this country right now.
But I'd also fight tooth and nail against any sort of prohibition-esque actions. Having grown up in the upper midwest, bars are a genuine part of my culture. As stupid as I know that sounds, I'll fight tooth and nail for it. An appeal to history in America must recall that Prohibition was all around a mistake.
But that wasn't meant to be the point. People being afraid of Muslims is silly.
(and yeah, "pro-commerce" is cringey as hell)

but maybe that is the problem as long as there are people that hold believes above treating each over cool, so are any beliefs really worth repeating or even taken seriously

Goods points, gentlemens.
There was another article I wanted to link (that I thought Pumpkin Pieces might appreciate), but I forgot what it was.

How can that be considered racist? Muslim isn't a race it's a religion
