If you have to sell an EGC to pay your bills, you're gonna have a bad time.

Haha, whoops, my bad.

I literally pay for EVERYTHING with my credit card knowing that I will get 1-5% cash back. I guess I'm just one of those rich guys getting richer, because that's how things are set up...

Considering how shady and dangerous PayPal can be, I don't got how some of the many alternatives that seem "better" haven't taken over a significant market share.

^^^^^^
Selling EGC's to pay for purchases made while paying off EGC's and then buying EGC's while selling EGC's. It's fucked. However, I have vowed and have absolutely stuck to the rule that none of my gear money EVER intermingles or comes out of the bill paying/marriage account, EVER. Money only ever goes into that account.

That's usually my rule too, but this week I didn't budget properly and now I'm paying for it.
Or rather, someone else is paying me for it. And by it, I mean one of my pedals.

I learned the hard way in college when I spent the last money I had on a Mascis Jazzmaster right when they first came out. Realized if I wanted to eat at all that week, the guitar had better go.

What is this can't do attitude? How unamerican! You could have begged in the street for money and food like any self conscious drug addict!

Apparently selling your own plasma isn't as easy as it used to be back when I was in college. (Back when everybody got their wisdom teeth pulled so pharma could test the efficacy of placebos--no one seemed to be getting anything effective.)

My stepbrother sells his plasma, or at least he did for a good while. The only thing is it looks like the phlebotomists werent trained very well so he always had really rough stick marks

The smartest and best route to ever take.
I did this from the start in my relationship/into marriage. and everything I get gearwise is from money that is earned on the side from either side jobs, working overtime if it's there, or mainly the paintings I sell. Never had to deal with 'oh we don't have the money to pay X this month.' That shit is for fools. I rather have my shit on lockdown. hussle.

I'm for real thinking about picking up a second job like 3 days a week just for gear.
