No. Some of us are totally fine admitting that we have spent over ten years playing in blues bands as our main gigging format… but… you see it isn't fear of admitting we like blues but that we like good blues, not watered down soccer mom middle aged white dude with a fucking TS and a hat blues lame ass shit that the blues clubs and societies flock to so they can play the Oreo hydrox blues or some asinine suburban approved crap, meaning fuckEric Clapton and SRV, I want Freddie King and Skip James!

10/10 but I'm going with Peter Green and Cedell Davis for my personal wants.
Also, I really dig Clapton's band work. The problem are the be-fedora'd fans: The James Dolan writ Large:

This would make a great album title.

Rory Gallagher was great. Clapton was good with the Bluesbreakers. Ye olde acoustic blues is cool. Doom is slomo blooz. Blues.

(and Cream. and Derek and the Dominos)
Tritones and penatonics are the shit and if you don't think so I question your bona fides as a breaux and a scholar.
Unless you don't like them. That's ok. We still like you.

I was originally infected with the ZomBlooz by John Lee Hooker. McKinley Morganfield, and Chester Burnett. The first time I heard, or became aware of it, was probably through Mike Bloomfield. The greatest Bloozmon ever is Beethoven. Beethoven did not use Fuzz.

Hahaha. This is exactly what I think of when this topic pops up.
Perfect movie, too, btw.

The SRV hate makes me sad. I like SRV. And Clapton. And Robert Johnson. And Hendrix. And AC/DC. It's all stuff I grew up on, and much of why I play guitar. There isn't really any guitarist that I strongly dislike.

Scott Joplin had the blues. Partially because he was infected with Syphilis. He did not use Fuzz. The problem with the other band in the video is that they did not use Fuzz.

Wouldn't have quite worded it this way, but very much agree with above.
BB King is still one of the best live shows I have ever been to.
Even though I got food poisoning on the way home.....
no problem admitting I like blues,
