Yeah I did think both the male leads did a pretty shite job. Like they both tried too hard bit didnt get anywhere with it.

Re: Ex Machina
hah. i just rewatched Chappie with my grrL. it's dumb, and Yolandi is AWFUL, but i kinda liked Ninja.
and.... the weird Their Music, Their Album Art, Their Names, Their Merch stuff was...... more enjoyably surreal the second time.
the Alternate Ending is WAYYYYYYY better.

Re: Ex Machina
I liked Ex Machina even though I almost gave up on it. It was kind of slow. The leads were a cute couple.
Anyone see Android with Klaus Kinski? THAT was a mad scientist. I wish the genius in Ex Machina had been a little more eccentric.

I mean Kinski is basically the Everest of deranged cinematic visions. That's a rough comparison for anyone.

What about the guitar playing in mad max? Why is no one talking about that? Also did anyone notice that a tuba flies off that truck when it explodes?

Re: Ex Machina
I was really stoked to see ExM... My wife rolled her eyes and said, "great... Another bird's-eye view about screwing robot chicks.. 'Yay'...", LOL
After watching, I was like "mmmmmeh"; and she ended up enjoying it most!
It wasn't terrible or anything... But still....
Meh.

"It" (is problematic) died long, long ago. It's just people taking themselves too seriously now and not being creative.echodeluxe wrote:i feel like you dont like post-rock, i dunno i guess its just a feeling i have.Faldoe wrote:Soundtrack was great. it was like the entire movie had a way more interesting plot with "can you copy/transfer a living intelligence/mind" but instead focused on die antewareredpddr doing dumb shit. goddamn what a waste, such potential too.
ex machinaf yes.
idk, die antwood doing die antwood shit was the whole reason they were in it. they weren't supposed to be anything other than themselves in a fucked up future.
and the robot sex people are going to be bummed on the future, cause i'm fucking the 1st robot i can. that robot arm, handjob

Re: Ex Machina
My favorite thing about the movie was that the beginning was a weird combination of Dracula and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, except with robots instead of chocolate or vampires.
