My plan is to celebrate my birthday, which is on the 5th. I don't do anything really for the 4th anymore.

I wonder if this is the Mount Trashmore near where I live. I know there's another in Virginia or something though.Achtane wrote:Gonna go see the fireworks at the beach with a coupla friends. And drink.
Then maybe lay in the truck bed and watch them again at Mount Trashmore. And drink.
And then...?

i thought it was a colloquialim for Mt. Oh. Our Mt. Trashmore is half landfill/half golf course. It's a really big hill that's just built of trash with some dirt and grass growing on top so you can't tell it's a mountain of trash.The_Active_Conundrum wrote:i thought it was a colloquialim for Mt. I think the one in VA is in Woodbridge. There's a massive landfill there that they tossed some sod over and turned into a big ass hill. It smells terrible and there are baseball fields next to it that I played little league games on.ancientbones wrote:I wonder if this is the Mount Trashmore near where I live. That's smart. Dual purpose. As both golf courses and landfills are a horrible use of land.ancientbones wrote:Oh. Our Mt. Trashmore is half landfill/half golf course. In the winter it serves as the best place to go sledding so I think it balances out. Also if you sneak up to the top at night you can see Detroit a few miles away. It's really nice if you don't get caught by security.The_Active_Conundrum wrote:That's smart. Dual purpose. As both golf courses and landfills are a horrible use of land.ancientbones wrote:Oh. Re: Hey, Mericans! 4th plans?
after cruising some grocery prices, I might just do appetizers for the 4th.
like tiny hamburgers. or something. maybe cocktail weenies. idk...................
the normal grill food seems out of my reach and I'd be baking or pan frying anyway (no grill)

I had no idea there were so many Trashmores
Nah, this is in Virginia Beach. It's also a bigass landfill-turned-park, but there are no baseball fields or golf courses..
