Here go my new screwdrivers for work

How well do those tips hold up? I mangle screwdrivers…

Chisels

Henry Taylor 1/2" pattern maker's gouge
Henry Taylor 1/2" parring
Illinois steal 1/4" skew - was my great grandfather's
German 1/4"
Stanley 3/4" - was my great grandfather's, I make a new handle for it
set of marples
Henry Taylor 1 1/2" sweep gouge - I made the handle
Zenith 1 1/2" - I made the handle
Sorby 2" mortis

Planes

all Stanley's the red one is a block plane I cut down and toothed the blade for doing guitar tops, I made the handles on the jack plane [the original was too small or my hand and it was plastic…]

How to you like that bullnose? I find them hard to use and mine just wont stay set for long. Vintage stanley are the best and nice work on the handles. I think I have that same stanley, but I used it for rough shaping work on joists (long story); I found the setup/blade kind of hard to keep sharp and it kind of chipped stuff more than shaved. Do you ever use a scraper?

I also mangle screw drivers and am curious about those, SPACERITUAL.

Henry Taylor chisels are also really good. I should have got those instead of the two cherries. Thanks for reminding me that I need to make or find some mortise chisel.

foredom TXH440 flex shaft caver
a skil 10" drill press
& a ryobi band saw

not to mention a bunch o' chisels, kutzall burrs, bench grinder, all that jazz.

i found mine on craigslist for 70 bucks!

the only time it ever gives me any lip at all (the bit will stop turning momentarily) is when i'm drilling a hole over an inch in diameter in a piece of true lignum vitae - I work pretty much only with forstner bits, too, for what that's worth. That's mostly my fault though for not working at the speed of the wood. But still. great bang for the buck.

Nice. I'll have to keep an eye out when the time comes.

I LOST MY #1 NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS. THIS PLIERS HAS BEEN WITH ME SINCE 2007. WORST WEEK EVER.

The bullnose is ok… I have never used it much, I never have had issues with it staying set, but I do not like that the blade can get bumped out of square. I actually like that jack plan, never had many issues with it at all [but then I have many many hours into truing it], the only reason I would get a different one is to get a better blade than what is in it. Henry Taylor ARE badass! the steel is tough! they take forever to sharpen. scrapers… I have a few.. I really only use a rectangular cabinet scraper… or just use a chisel as one

Grizzly… it really depends on how much you intent on using them.. I do not have much respect for them from a production standpoint.. their larger bandsaws are ok as long as you don't plan on doing resawing, their table saws…the word crap comes to mind… for cheap stuff I still like craftsman, I have a craftsman drill press lasted almost 15 years before it stated to die, I just got a new small band saw of theirs a month ago and so far it does what I want it to.. their jointers I have had not good luck with though.. I wanted their little one… I like bench top tools for at home… and yet I ended up with a big ass delta..
