DC/DE are making amazing effects these days. So pumped for this to arrive!

We have had a few set backs this month. Our lead builder broke her arm, so we are struggle to catch up in a major way.

I am hoping these will be done and shipping within two weeks. I will send out an update to everyone who bought one, giving an update this week.

Got mine a little while back, haven't had much time to play with it til recently. The Drone knob - it seems it cuts off the guitar signal entirely when turned more than even slightly clockwise. Is that how it is supposed to work? There seems to be a blend for the very beginning but after that it's just the dolphin noises. Is this everyone's experience?

Yep. That is totally normal for the drone knob. Aen explained the technical reason to me this morning, but I am too tired to remember : )

The Drone knob sounds like an oscillator/gate to me. One of the functions on my modded DS-1 does the same thing, it's practically silent for most of the turn radius unless you input an insanely loud signal, at the other it's dolphin noises. Somewhere in between you get a gated fuzz/distortion sound.

Unfortunately, we aren't doing any more of these. You can still get a regular Soda Meiser, but we aren't going to build any more Supers.

Bugger. I'm after the 'drone' option.

I was diving through the internet and people seemed to suggest on reddit that this was a Soda Meiser PCB with a latching stomp switch instead of the switch. Is the drone knob one of the resistors replaced with a pot or is there a separate circuit going on there? Thanks!

Pretty close! It's a momentary stomp switch instead of the chaos toggle found on many Soda Meisers. The drone knob is variable resistance between ground and the fuzz circuit, which sounds like a terrible idea, but it makes cool sounds!

That sounds like as good a reason as any to do it.
