Yeah I saw that they wrote music with big time pop writers. Seems so weird for Refused especially.

It was 2 songs, and the guy they did it with started out in the Swedish hardcore scene with them. He just happened to end up as a big time pop music producer.

Apparently (according to the internet) he based something in Taylor Swift's Blank Space on some old metal/hardcore song. But take that with a grain of internet skepticism.

There's a chance he programmed some electronic drums i.e. New Noise and they are giving him writing credit for it. Let's not be too hasty in the "fuck em"s

On track (as opposed to my last post) - I thought that was a pretty cool tune.

Also, i wouldn't worry about that. Shellback is a dude and a total metallero. He has always had a cool distance to his pop hits, and has mentioned Refused in interviews since way back.

I liked the riff but that was about it. Both the vocals and lyrics were extremely meh to me.
I think it's brilliant that they're making music again if they feel like it, but for me personally there are a million other bands that I'd rather listen to right now, despite what they've done in the past or not. If people like it, cool! If they don't, shut up about it! So I'm gonna shut up about it now! :P

I liked that the main riff's timing was a little hard to follow. Its a little too slick and polished but its growing on me.

Sorry, I really liked their previous work. I just don't think this stands up to that.

I liked the riffs and the drumming. Would have preferred a more Jesus Lizardy production - riffs woulda been brutal then. Vocals were strongly meh. Fun tune though.

This song is extremely Meh.

I love that record. But it's SO obvious that they were ripping off Swing Kids and Nation of Ulysses.
