Polite + respectful doesn't = no fun. It just keeps this a welcoming, fun place to hang out. I think that's a good thing. I mean, people can say whatever the fuckshitcockexplosion they want here, as long as they're not being assholes...so if the place has changed, I'd say it's mostly a natural change and people are being chill.

No. I don't think so. I think everyone is missing the point of what I'm trying to say or maybe I'm not able to articulate it.

I don't think the polite or respectful thing is too much, but I find people get overly sensitive about things. Like for instance, this thread could be perceived as offensive to some, which is not my intention at all.

I say what I want, when I want. BUT! Even I have toned it down a lot for various reason. I'm guilty too. hahaha. I attribute mine to trying to change as a person in general.

Sometimes though I don't feel comfortable saying things if they are a bit off color because of the potential backlash. That doesn't mean I'm a dick, like someone inferred. It means I have a different sense of humor. Which is fine IMO. Diversity.

I wanted to see if anyone felt like me, and if not, that's ok.

I also see a HUGE mob mentality a lot of times here. I've been guilty of that as well.

Please don't think I'm bashing the site. I just wanted to have a discussion. See how others felt. I've seen many before me bring this same topic up too.

Since I haven't been here that long, I don't really want to comment on the state of the forum.

But there seems to be a general trend of PC-nes across the web. A lot of debates and so forth. Which can be a good thing of course, but there is a difference between being respectfull and being overly sensitive. People being easily offended (often on behalf of groups to which they don't belong themselves) can ruin an open discussion.

Not saying that happens here though. Dunno what my point was with typing this. I like your penis, jwar.

I'm no long time member here but I can see what you mean though, was drawn to this forum because of the Dr Scientist stuff (Cosmichorus in particular) and reading up quite a lot, it seemed that back then things were a bit more crazy.
To be honest, I didn't register at first because it seemed to be like a bit of an incrowd here and I didn't know tha slang ya know.

So yeah, I guess things have changed, from the way I perceive it anyway.
Not necessarily worse but less crazy / unexpected I guess, I'm a laidback guy so I don't mind a bit more craziness but the thing that's really cool here is that discussions actually seem to be useful and lead somewhere (even though that might be completely some place else), was reading through pages of a vibe thread on some other forum yesterday and that was mostly just useless shit like "I think A is the best" with almost no reasoning whatsoever.

This is by far my favourite gear forum ever, I've met some great people through here, had cool deals through the B/S/T, received and (hopefully) given some good advice, enjoying the derails and general "let it breathe" attitude here.

I don't miss the YouTube and image bomb. I get to use loads of caps. I can wink wink. I can also pretend I'm Napoleon every once in a while. I have an ILF hubby (we're ILFmarried). We openly discuss Jwar's erectile dysfunction (he's getting so much boners all the time he needs a transfusion every hour). Penis is the leading option in this thread's poll. Also, gear & gear & moar gear all the time and gear pr0n too.

That's kind of nice. I doubt there's another place on the internet like that. So chillax Max and enjoy.

I have been here a fairly short time compared to a lot of you, but I feel the forum has improved since I joined.
