A couple of other Seattle suggestions would be The Admiral Benbow, Darrell's Tavern, Victory Lounge.
Think the Admiral Benbow just closed last month :(

I agree Neumos is a good venue. Seen great stuff there. Never played there but have done the downstairs club Barboza. Sounded good down there too.

^ I'm old! I miss the Store Room Tavern that was there before the Mars Bar. i started crying about the gentrification like 15 years ago and I'll never stop. Seattle is my hometown and it really was a better city before the tech money, imo. I agree I can barely afford to live here now too and I can't imagine how people who earn less do it. Actually I do know and it sucks, people live in Renton, Burien, Tukwila, White Center and commute. It's shitty when people can't afford to live in the city that they work in.

This is how I feel.

I feel old when I walk around, pretty much everywhere. but my genes have played a trick on me, blessing and a curse I suppose.
trust me, this has happened elsewhere to cities that I once loved and are now just shells of what they once were.
we just need to keep fighting, sticking together, helping each other and voting with your dollar.
if I wasn't becoming allergic to wheat and grains, fucking weird, I'd be at the Georgetown Liquor Co. all the damn time.
time to start getting the meat sweats again, heh.

*edited* I read wrong, it was just the funhouse presents...
and it was thursday at el corazon. wah wah wah.
I think they're still trying to find a spot though.
