I actually do a variation of that that's just teeth. I rub my front teeth together for hat, chop down for snares, and click my canines together for kicks. I will occasionally click my tongue for accents and rim shots though.
I need to contact mic that shit.

I too do teeth drums and have since I were a wee lad.

I also probably do other weird shit too because people have called me weird since i was young,
but I also have charisma enough for people to not specifically call me on particular behaviors.
I excel at making people uncomfortable and turning it into a joke so everybody's having fun.

I love this. I'm picturing you, in the morning, eating cereal in a dead quiet room when suddenly you gaze over at the cereal box and let go a majestic roar.

I'm fucking weird :( I love fish tanks. Wayyyyyy too much money into that. It used to be ok cause I bred fish and sold coral frags so I made side cash, but I stoped doing that and just have four tanks. The salt water reef tanks take thousands sometimes. Annndddd music. I haven't played a show or been in a band in more than a year. Yet I still buy gear like crazy. More than a thousand a month in shit. I even have recording gear and I'm just not doing anything but buying more shit and playing in my bedroom :( alssssooooo my best relationship has been an on off current thing with a model. Every three months we try to move in. Freak out and move out 3 months later. Currently we are on again and 900 miles away and it seems perfect. Fucked right? I read a book a day. I collect action figures. Sounds crazy but I have some toys worth more than guitars. I have way too many hobbies that cost serious money. I can keep going on if you like. I wear tie dye bandanas everyday?

That's a good collection of stuff Fishtank. :thumb:

I can't plan anything. In fact, I hate planning stuff.

Except pedals.

I have spreadsheets devoted to future purchases, future sound combinations etc. And I have scale drawings of my pedalboard on my computer, including future purchases, so that I know how to rewire my board when I have to do that. My next board (I hate tearing down a board and rebuilding it, so I wait until I have a critical mass of changes to implement) underwent over 20 different digital iterations until I am now happy with it, so when the next purchase comes in I'll redo it.

I don't like talking about myself cuz I don't want to create any mental images of a fixed-me, since I'm always changing.

I like to try stuff on my own. Like figuring out what crows 'say' with different noises. Atm they just run away if I try to talk to mimic their sounds.
Teeth/mouth drums here as a kid, kinda stopped. I used to play right hand bass lines when driving in public transportation and listening to my mp3.
My mouth is full of olive oil atm, cuz oil-pulling is an old Ayurvedic practice of keeping your gums and teeth healthy. I like to hug people. I can feel other people's feelings/intentions quite strongly at times, to the point I get confused to the source of them and think I'm the one feeling that way.

I used to have to do things four times or at least an even number of times, but I've more or less gotten over it. Not like I was super obsessed by it, it just felt natural. I also used to be pretty into keeping things in order, like having books stacked in order of size and such. Got over that too, so I kinda doubt it was serious OCD or anything like that.

Never spoke like ordinary people (at least in Norwegian), more like a mix of college text book and dudespeak. Apparently it's pretty obvious that I fake it in a lot of social settings, being overly ironic and stuff. I'm pretty cynical and calculating, but also pretty emotional and (I at least believe) I care a lot about people. Also, I'm pretty humble and can be a bit self loathing, but underneath that I'm very sure of myself (sometimes too much).

Also, it felt sort of uncomfortable typing all this out, but what the hey.

I never hold shift when I need to make a capital letter on the keyboard. I always turn caps lock on and off.

Here's what I've got off the top of my head:

Still:
- I have three dogs, but I never talk to them unless other people are around and I feel like I have to. They get very confused and happy when that happens.
- I read poetry aloud to myself, with great passion.
- I count things all the time. Stairs, windows, pebbles, people, cars, letters in words, etc.
- I don't move my face at all unless I'm in a conversation or I'm aware that people are watching me. People I know who have seen me on the street always think I'm angry.
- I hate feeling full/bloated. Gives me panick attacks. Makes family dinners a bitch. I snack all the time instead.
- I have an irrational fear of fear caused by OCD. If I get into one of those kind of loops, I can be fucked for weeks on end.
- I'm always conscious of my heartbeat. I check my pulse all the time.
- I read my own posts 4-5 times to check spelling/phrasing (even here, where I'm using my second language).

I used to:
- Check to see if doors/windows were locked and if the stove was turned off. All multiple times, causing me to turn half way to school/work and getting out of bed several times every night.
- Keep nothing in my pockets but rather in a backpack because I felt an imbalance if not.
- Wash my hands for hours in hot water (fear of disease/bacteria).
- Restart my gaming console whenever I did badly.
- Do weird stuff like tap a wall five times because I thought that something bad would happen if I didn't. Classic OCD right there.

Actually, most of my weirdness comes from OCD. :erm: :joy:

Yes! See this is the shit I was talking about! hahahaha! We all have it! All of us! Humans I mean. We're all weird, crazy, people. I love reading what other people do because it makes me realize "shit I think I do that too" LOL! Plus it makes me feel less alone in this scary world of people that try to act "normal".

I've been diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder and am bi-polar. I'll get anxious and paranoid so I cannot go into details of my weird ways. Being this weird is no fun...

Agreed.

"Fortunate savages! Oh, that I might enjoy the peace which always goes with you [...] sitting tranquilly beneath your oaks, let the days go by without counting them. [...] If ever your souls were touched by the melancholy which comes with excess of delight, it was but a transistory sadness, and your gaze, raised to heaven, gently sought that unknown something which takes pity on the poor savage."

I really like that paragraph. René by Chateaubriand. Fucking normal people.

You win.

-I HATE shaking people's hands. Every time I do, all I can think about is washing my hands. I hate the thought of shaking hands with someone that may not wash their hands after going to the bathroom, that's like touching their junk.

-I'm sorta claustrophobic. Whenever I go anywhere I check out the exits. I have no problems on airplanes though...

-I cannot dial in a tone I like completely on a MFX, but if I hook up analog pedals up to my tonelab (or Valvetronix amps) I get tones I'm pleased with.

-I suck at guitar. Not in the "false humility" kind of way but tongue on sweaty donkey balls kind of way and yet I have an obsession with guitar pedals. I have about 17 dirt pedals alone.

I was diagnosed with the exact same things when I was 16 (my S-A D manifested as multiple voices in my head), when I was 23 I took waaaayyyyyy too much LSD and went into a weird trip / coma at a festival. I remember that in my head I walked into a room and found every bit of my personality labeled on bricks in a huge pile, and I went through and threw out or broke the bricks of things I didn't like about myself and built a wall with the bricks of the parts of me I did like. I stumbled out of my tent 14 hours later a completely different person and have had no more issues in the last ten years....

But anyways... Things that make me weird:

- I'm brutally open about myself when asked, and often don't know when to not talk about certain things (see above haha)
- My eye movements and what I look at (or don't look at) weirds people out
- I have strict self imposed times for daily rituals (such as using the restroom, showering, eating) and if the cycle gets broken I freak out inside
- when I collect things I can't stop upgrading or thinking about upgrading until I get something that my brain tells me "you can't get any better than this" which for somethings is extremely expensive...
- I'm extremely socially awkward... unless I'm the center of attention or on stage playing an instrument... it's like I have to either be all in or all out.... :idk:
