If Bible stuff is actually in the promotional copy for a MI company I will for damn sure stay away from that brand. If you are buying from a third party rather than direct, then you might not be aware of what for me is a conflict of interests. Although I try to do my homework on my own I see a list like this being useful.
To include religion in your marketing is clearly a ploy to polarize your market. I don't think anyone who chooses to do so is ignorant of this fact. I don't think any of them care that they lost my business, having wagered on an increased market on the other side of the spectrum, who feel better about their purchase knowing that the manufacturer is in alignment with their world view. To each their own.

It's not about reporting threads.
That's not how we roll here.
And this subject is so subjective anyway. You're not gonna get a consensus on which builders to avoid. One person may not wanna buy a pedal from a certain builder for one reason or another, but to someone else that builder is totally worth doing business with.

Yeah, do what thou wilt.
(That goes for them and their beliefs and you and where you want to spend your cash.)
I understand making a list of builders with shitty practices but,
Implying that a company is shitty because the owners of said business or users of said business's products have different beliefs than you is kind of shitty, in my book.

Man, I hate those Jesus guys! All they do is go around making rash generalizations of everyo...wait...
But for realsies, any one who uses a religious ideology for the sole purpose of profit, is not exactly following said religion to the letter now are they?
This excludes Scientologists, I guess...
Whatever, the only worship that matters here is amplifier worship.

I don't think this is weird information to want to know, I get turned off by the religious companies too. I see tons of builders on Instagram with the first line in their bio saying 'Christian owned company' or "I love god first, then music, then my job, then my kids, then my wife." I think it's gross and I think it's a lame manipulation, lame me-too mentality, and lame way to develop a business.
I also like knowing what companies are going to do disgusting things with the money I spend on their goods.. like Danelectro donating money to stop gay marriage or other companies that use their religious nature to drive pedal sales. I'm not supporting any of that.
If a business tries to make you think you should buy their goods or support their cause because of god it's bullshit.

I'm sure there's people out there that play chrisso music that wouldn't support other secular companies because they don't agree with their version of christianity or have big pictures of satan on their pedals or whatever, I really don't see the problem. Dude wants to make an informed choice on his buying, it's no different than only buying free range eggs or something like that. No one's saying you shouldn't support the christian companies if you're comfortable doing so.
Anyway visual sound used to have links to a bunch of faith based stuff on their website too.

I don't think this would garner the same reaction if it was "Tell us about gay gear manufacturers" etc.
People have beliefs, and frame their businesses around them on all sides of the political and other fences.
What you do is your choice.
If that's your only reason for supporting them (or boycotting them), it says more about you as a buyer (and not in a good way) than about the company.
If I had to agree politically or religiously or spiritually with every person or thing I did business with...couldn't live.
