Yeah I use it on Last Looks. Everyone thinks it's bass playing the crusher riff, but it's really me.

It's tuned G-G(an octave higher)-C-F-A, I take the lowest string off.

That riff (plus pretty much everything Bongripper) makes me want a Bass VI.

The scale is honestly a little hard to adjust to.

So tried the bass VI with the full rig and full volume but not in a band situation just diddling around...definitley an interesting instrument, its going to take some time to figure out how to exactly use it and get used to the string spacing, before i can fully comment. The fit and play ability is great. It sounds awesome, maybe a bit too bright but that could be the strings. I definitely need some flats on this thing and a new bridge. Excited to see how using this instead of a traditionally four string will influence my 2 piece bass and drum band, Galactic Hatchet.

I know i want to get some La Bella flats for it but is there a replacement bridge with rollers out there specifically for these or are you using parts for a jazzmaster or jaguar?

The string spacing, the scale,...It's hard enough to adjust to as it is. And than I had to go and buy an Eastwood sidejack baritone, instead of a fender or squier That's what you get for randomly browsing ebay while drunk It's so damn ugly it's cool again

It was cheap as fuck though. I might try some other pickups, sand down the neck for better playability, and try to bonde with it.

I've been eyeing a green/black burst baritone sidejack for some time now. How is it compared to just tuning down to B on a regular guitar?

At least compared to my guitars tuned to B, I'd say the baritone is obviously just better suited to handle heavier strings and lower tunings. I suppose it's like comparing a violin to a cello

A downtuned guitar will feel a lot smoother to play, and it'll just handle chords a lot better too. I don't regret getting mine, but it's not something I'll play on a daily basis. I'm sure I'll be able to make some sick sounds with it, but probably mainly with single or double note riffs/leads.
