Sounds awesome Nora. I got some interesting sounds once running a looper before the Superego, setting the layer and gliss knob real low, and messing with some effects after the ego. The way it tracks is just so weird.

I checked out that Zoom pedal and it scares me. Not really a fan of those type of interfaces. I like this knob to do this, that knob to do that. With some of the stuff I play it involves me to alter a lot of parameters on the fly, and I can't be looking at displays and such. A lot of great sounds in that guy though.

Very understandable about the interface. It'd be nice for preset combos but definitely not for full on tweaking. I could see having one of the zooms with go to presets then a couple other pedals to tweak.

I need to cave and buy a fucking super ego already ugh.

I'm pretty curious about this as well.
I'm trying to decide if I actually want to keep mine or flip it for something more interesting like a Raptio, or more modular stuff

What the hell UG? I didn't think you would be close-minded about any effect, especially one with a built in effects loop.
Is there something we don't know... was it secretly tested on dolphins or something?

There's nothing mysterious or controversial, it just seems to me a pimped out freeze which is another pedal that doesn't do it for me, from the videos in this thread it's clearly a creative tool just doesn't spark my imagination.

Ah, gotcha. I was just curious - everyone's got their reasons, and not every pedal is for everyone.

for the record, I'm sort of on the same side - I like how others use the superego, but I'm not really interested in it for myself. I have a freeze that I get a lot of use out of though, and the fact that it just does one thing works perfectly for me.

That's a pretty understandable reason. Especially the not mysterious or controversial, which is kind of why I want to replace mine with a Raptio. I think having a Count to 5 and a Raptio would balance out not having a Superego We'll see when I get my Count to 5.
