I saw Z Vex post this yesterday and was concerned by it. How often do you see a post like that? When I got out of class today, I saw that he had died and I was so upset. What a terribly sad turn of events. My condolences to his family, loved ones and friends.

Condolences to Zachary Vex, friends, and family of Andy.
I strongly second the statement (pasted below) from Earthquaker, because so many I might call ilovefuzz forumites or customers are more accurately this: friends. Know it, and remember it. Outside of my family, most of my favorite people and friends are fellow forum members and FuzzHugger users. Online friends _are_ real-world friends...I've been touched by so many of you; I'm here for you; thank you for being there for me. We need to remember to be more open about our feelings and also check on each other (and follow-up the "'how are you?' / 'good'" exchange with another "how are you?").
From Earthquaker:
"For all my friends, whether close or casual, just because. Everyone will go through some hard times at some point. Life isn't easy. Just something to think about.. Did you know the people that are the strongest are usually the most sensitive? Did you know the people who exhibit the most kindness are the first to get mistreated? Did you know the ones who take care of others all the time are usually the ones who need it the most? Did you know the three hardest things to say are I love you, I'm sorry, and help me? Sometimes just because a person looks happy, you have to look past their smile to see how much pain they may be in. To all my friends who are going through some issues right now--let's start an intentional avalanche. We all need positive intentions right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. May I ask my friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just needs to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my friends just for moral support. I know some will!!! I did it for a friend and you can too."

I don't know what to say. My condolences to his friends and family, Zachary Vex, and all affected by this tragedy. I'm not around here much these days. But I know there have been many members of this community who've been there for me during my darker days. I'd like to extend an invitation to anyone on the board to pm me if you're ever in need of help, words of comfort, a sympathetic ear, whatever may be of benefit to you. RIP

I wish the best for his family and friends.
I can only assume from the vague language and the post by EQD above that Andy competed suicide. If Andy's death wasn't a suicide then I apologize for bringing this discussion here but if that is true I don't understand why its not being said.
EDIT: Actually I can understand why it's not being said. There can be a lot of judgement against suicide, a need for privacy, etc. I apologize for the naivety. However I still support what I originally wrote below.
I completely agree with the sentiment of being open with those you're close with, but I think in order to be open to that degree suicide can't be treated as a dirty word. Its real andy scary but normalizing thoughts and feelings around suicide can help that sense of openess.
