I called the cops on her, fuck that shit, it's 2:00 AM on a weekday and you're blasting the Eagles and Bob Marley, I gotta be up at at 5:30 AM for work and when I knock on the door politely at 11 you fucking turn the music UP? Fuck you lady, when the cops knock on your door and you do the same thing they don't like that.....
I fucking hated living there.....
SNITCH!
Just kidding. I lived above a lady that would blast THE SAME Katy Perry song over and over while getting ready to go clubbing every weekend. Drove me nuts.

my neighbors occasionally blast 80s - 90s R&B slowjams at late-oclock, but i figure they put up with my guitar and i LOVE R&B slow jams

, so no harm no foul.

Yeah could be worse. I had a neighbour who used to crank Barry Manillows greatest hits, Little River Band, and worse yet, John fucking Farnham. When that crap came on I could of called the police. Not for excessive noise but for bad taste in music. Instead I went and hit the drums to drown them the fuck out.

I don't blast anything. I don't really find a need to have it up to the point that it's heard outside of the room it's being played, nevertheless my house.
My experiences of calling the cops were more a few years ago between some family behind my house (not directly behind, but across the street from the house behind mine) they were having some idiot party blasting whatever ghettobass shit and once it hit 12AM I called. Other them sporatically was close to them but nothing but goddamn marhiarci shit all night. I think I made it to 11 before I had to call. it was going on since noon.

I win the stereo wars with the neighbors, they don't try.
But they're mostly old people and don't put up much competition. The 4x12 and couple combo amps can knock shit off the wall if I want.
If it's before 10pm, lease says I can.
I'm nice, I usually stop loud or jam sessions by 9, and don't start until early afternoon.

Yea same situation here. I have the means to make my whole block hate me if I want to. I just choose not to do that. And I also cut off all jams but 9:00-9:30ish. Figured that was the most reasonable time to cut out.

One of my neighbors called the cops on me when I was trying out my 4x15 at like 6pm. The cop showed up around 8 and clearly didn't give a shit. We don't jam large at my place normally. Time to build some soundproofing.
