Some bands that came out of the "emo" genre are pretty good, and personally influenced the way I write music to a degree. Granted, there are a few bands that recycle things done better by other bands (The amount of bands coping the MCR sound is never ending.), but their are good ones in the bunch!

I still don't know what the fuck "emo" actually is.

If you ask 5 people to explain emo, you get at least 6 answers.

The only thing I know about emo is this joke: I wish my lawn was...so it would cut itself. :)

I think a lot of bands that started out lumped in the mid 2000s emo rut went on to do good stuff. Thursday and Brand New are good examples. Im surprised BN dont get a little more love around here. Daisy was loaded with toanz.
