There's a rad (on paper) Phillips I've been thinking about getting. Anyone used a Phillips?
I have a 47" Philips LCD TV that I bought in the summer of 2010. I use it every day. Not a single problem, and people are still impressed by the picture when they first see it. I had a 27" Philips CRT TV for 12 years, and a stereo for 14 years, with no problems.

My 32" JVC LCD, on the other hand, is just over two years old, and has been broken for going on a year. It turns out that JVC licensed their name for this TV to a different company, and as a result, my TV sucks. The picture is great, but the whole product line apparently suffers from random failures. The remote sensor flaked out and died on mine. $50+ for the part, and no guarantee it will work. I'm kind of hoping the TV will just die.

Good luck on the hunt.

Dude, that sucks. JVC made some awesome gear in the 80s. Still have a JVC receiver somewhere in the basement.
