Does anyone have any artistic ideas on ways to arrange the labels?

I was thinking that myself. Maybe it would work if the Master section also had the diagonal lines as well.

This is probably too busy and cluttered, but I kinda like the idea of connecting the functions together to mimic the railway lines that traverse through a country or city. Kinda like this:

Very very cool!
Last design has got my vote.
It's way different from anything I've ever seen.

So something disappointing happened: the lazer etching for the train didn't turn out very well—I don't think it could cope with the level of AWESOME!! No really, I think its curves, lines and detailing were a bit much and it didn't translate properly to the face plate. So Nick and I did a little brainstorming and came up with a new design. In a way, I actually prefer it, but it's still disappointing to know the original can't be used. We decided to ditch the whole train thing, just to be safe, and opted for something similar but simpler. Here it is. The design on the right is actually the railway system for my country of Ireland. I live just under the letter 'Y' in Railway 15. That stop is my home town and where I've lived for most of my life. It also kind of looks like a tracing of a PCB, which is kinda cool because I've always loved the way that looks.

I like that a lot more than the train. Cool that it now has a map on it!

I'm starting to prefer it as well. And yeah, Nick turned the map of the train lines into a usable image and I edited it to make it prettier and shinier.

How I feel now.
I didn't comment previously because it felt cluttered and I was having a hard time articulating what I thought might look good.
this looks superb.
