Nowhere near Atlanta, so I've got no dog in this hunt, but I just turned 40. And at band practice this weekend, we played only one song in which I turned off my dirt (for a quiet part in the verses). So I fully support the notion of youth through fuzz! As well as the notion of churches in bars... oh, and of ILFers getting together to make noise! Good luck with the meetup - be sure to record anything that results and post it in the Music section!

Will do.
I hope to continue melting faces well into my golden years.

If there were ever an Atlanta meetup I might drop in. I'm in Charleston. A few other guys in South Carolina I've never met.

Man, if this were to transpire on a weekend where I am childless, I'm totally down for an ILF SE meetup. Can we make this happen? We need WeHuntKings to chime in on this, but if there's a spot to get together and have us a ol' hoedown, then that would be fresssshhhhh...

Someone has to know a drummer or two. Actually, I know a drummer or two.
what does everyone play?

guitar/lap steel here. I believe WeHunt plays bass and guitar. Yeah, a drummer would be good. If someone can provide a kit, I'll play drums if no drummers are available.

I know a drummer who works for a drum company, so you know his kit is fire. He plays in a post-hardcore type dealie. Well, post-post-hardcore. Less Fugazi and more La Dispute. Anyways, he's pretty good but he's a busy dude, and I don't know how mobile his kit is.
Im trying to get better at guitar because I have an old family heirloom: an early nineties Les Paul. And its not getting enough love. Maybe by the time we actually organize a supajam I'll be better at it.

There are a lot of Tennesseeans on here I believe. Maybe we could get some of those guys too.

Word. I'd like to see this come to fruition. I think it'd be a lot of fun, and could possibly produce some tasty jams

I have a practice space at the goat farm, y'all. Let's do this.
