Not a bad price, but not a screaming deal either. If you were specifically looking for a cab like that, I would say go for it, otherwise wait for something else to pop up.pelliott wrote:I found an Avatar Traditional 2x12 w/ Celestion V Types for $250. Hit it? Quit it?

Re: Amplifier impasse
Supposedly they are beefed up v30s, basically the cab started as a signature cab for George Lynch and the v30 wouldnt hold up to that much volume and bass.

So they sound good and could potentially be had on the cheaps?theAntihero wrote:Supposedly they are beefed up v30s, basically the cab started as a signature cab for George Lynch and the v30 wouldnt hold up to that much volume and bass.

Re: Amplifier impasse
A G-Flex? No not usually all that cheap, 300 ish for either the 4x12 or the 2x12 is about as low as they go, with the 4x12 usually about 400 ish.
The speakers sound great in the cab, i dont know what they would sound like outside of it though. The porting could be the thing that i like better than anything
