This! Not sure why the Warmoth option seems to always overlooked nowadays - works well and the price is right.Decibill wrote:Warmoth makes this modified Mustang bridge. It's got adjustable saddle height. I've got one and its great....!

I think I might actually go for this rather than wait for the Staytrem.DuoSonicII wrote:This! lol. For what it's worth. I have one of those Warmoth Modified Mustang bridges on my blacktop and fixed every problem I've had with that guitar. Its been played/practiced/gigged for like 2 years and I haven't had to adjust it or do any tweaking.

Yes. Yes they did...Decibill wrote:So did all those screw just back themselves out of the saddles...???!!!!
If I was going to keep this bridge I would need to invest in some of the blue loctite
But I ordered the modified Mustang bridge.
So now I'm just super excited to get that

I would also recommend shimming the neck a bit once while you're at it. The more height you can get on the bridge the more stable it will be, but the closer trem placement on the Blacktop actually DOES help with this quite a bit.

That's EXACTLY what mine did when I first got mine. Get it adjusted, play for five-ten minutes, completely unusable.Decibill wrote:So did all those screw just back themselves out of the saddles...???!!!!
Simple solution: take the bridge off, coat all the screws with vasoline and reassemble. I used teflon on mine instead of vasoline (I was suspicious about the vasoline), and it stays fine now.

Still an occasional rattle on the high e string but it's not terrible
Also noticed that there's occasionally a rattle due to one of the screws on the humbucker.
The guy that installed the humbucker used the shittiest screws I've ever seen. I need to swap them out some time.
