Yay, now I have it installed!

But now I can't get any ROMs to work. I tried DK Country, DK Country 2, and Mega Man X. Every time I open them I get this:

I just don't know why I can't computer like a normal person.

 you have so many versions of that game.
J is for Japanese versions of games, E is European, U is Murrcan. So I'd go with the (U) 1.2 version, the latest version of it that they released in the US.
Maybe make a separate folder and throw the games that you're currently playing in there so they'll be easier to load next time ya start up the emulator.
Also, don't forget about the magic of save states in emus. Some emulators don't actually save your file when you select "save game" while playing the ROM, so you'll need to create a save state at that point and then load it in next time you start up the game.
You can also rewind fuckups this way, kinda like playing Viewtiful Joe :joy:

I play a lot of emulation games. Most of which are things I used to own 20 years ago, although it gives me a chance to scope out things I missed like Legendary Axe. :joy:

http://www.doperoms.com/ rules mightily.

So, breauxs, what N64 emulators do you use?

Now you're really in for it...
Project64 is popular. There's even a version with online play, but good luck staying synchronized with the other players...even so, there's always at least a handful of people trying to play online. Sometimes you can play F-Zero pretty smoothly.
I haven't tried it in a year or so, but some ROMs worked better than others. Some would run amazingly well and some would just drag the framerate into the ground. You can do wacky shit like set up Perfect Dark to run at 60FPS and use the mouse as the joystick, but it really doesn't translate well into modern shooter controls, it's like driving a tank

I DEMAND that you play Road Rash 64, dude. Graphics were butt even at the time, but it's one of the most fun fucking games ever. Nothing beats kicking people into oncoming traffic and then wheelie-jumping off of their cartwheeling motorcycles. Or their bodies.
I made a compilation:
