That's the impression I get from a fair amount of people here. I'd honestly just search reeeeeally hard for something that's actually within Denver itself. That way you don't have to drive very much to go do anything cool.

Somehow I forgot to say that a friend of mine lived with an old girlfriend of his a few years back and they, too, payed something like $850 for a little two-bedroom place with a yard and such. I'm hoping to find something like that someday...

Also, thanks for the heads up on the gear shop!

Is it that hard to come by weed where you live now? Seems like you can smoke anywhere in the US of A without worry.

Of course my experience comes from WA and we've made it legal here now.....but still. Moving for reefer seems weird.

It is not that it is hard to come by, it is I don't want to get arrested. For instance, if I got arrested I would lose my job because I have a background check run on me each year. I don't want to risk that, plus obviously I don't want to spend time in jail even if it is only for a day or 2 because I imagine jail sucks. Not to mention, any subsequent jobs I would apply to would see I had a record and then turn me down for the job.

I never made any claims that I was normal by the way. Where did you read that?

I guess by weird, I meant pointless. I dunno, getting busted for weed seems like such a non issue. But, whatevs.

However to be more constructive to your thread if you're looking for places to get a legal high, sounds like the whole real estate biz in Colorado is the same as WA. If you're going to live anywhere somewhat interesting in Washington, most apartments run around $1000. I wouldn't come here, though, unless you don't mind it being gray and rainy all the time.

Oof

When I lived there, Aurora was still in the process of being developed. I guess that would explain why I never saw it for what it is today. Well, that blows!!!!! I had loads of good times there. My introduction to pot and lsd happened there :yay: Another bummer about Colorado is that the Wax Trax stores are not what they used to be  I guess you could blame that on the download generation/shitty economy

Nora, I got busted with one fucking bowl's worth of pot(I live in Maryland). I had to spend the night in jail(it was cold as fuck and I had to listen to a madman ramble on all fucking night. Also, I never felt so degraded in my life while I was being in-processed), do 40 hours of community service, and pay for a bullshit drug and alcohol class that lasted a couple months. I also made the mistake of hiring a lawyer for a petty offense, $700 down the drain :picard: I now have a criminal record :barf: Judge assface concludes my trial with, "I don't agree with the marijuana laws, but the law is the law."

I live in Pueblo CO. I'm a student here at CSU-P, and our rent is 1200 split six ways. It's nice and rather sucky all at the same time. Pueblo/Springs area would be cheaper, but the night time city scene around here is rather dull. As is the live music scene. But If you like the mountains they're rather close no matter where you live in CO. Boulder, Ft. Collins, Summit County, Longmont, and Littleton are all located close enough to Denver, and may have cheaper housing than a LoDo apartment for sure.
