Yeah, i have a friend i could stay with in Fresno, and popping in to see behndy would be awesome.
Part of me still yearns to go somewhere "crazier," though.

Crazier than Arizona?

Not sure that's possible.

I know what you mean, though, but I strongly believe that most people in the US should see most of the continent. In a lot of ways, it's like visiting five or six different countries.

Much more culture shock value than, say, Montreal. Which is very lovely, but still very similar to adjacent US cities. You'll find the same deal with most of the UK, too. Different, but similar--especially to the Northeastern US.

Balls deep different, though--you want somewhere like Indonesia. Or the Philippines.

Yeah, that's partly why the possibility of going to India with my former professor is very attractive.
We still have to have a serious conversation about it, but the one we had thus far was her being like "BE PREPARED TO SHIT IN A HOLE, etc."

But that is a good point, the US is huge and I've seen fairly little of it.

I've never left the country before, but this summer, I extensively traveled throughout the Continental 48, and man, it's amazing what you can see within your own country.

Yeah, actually, a lot of you fuckers are in Texas. I went to San Antonio once but it was so brief and limiting. I wish I saw more. More to ponder...

This.
I have had a fascination with India for a couple years that doesn't have any rational explanation.

Will be following your travel diary that must happen as well. ;)

Thanks dudes :)*

My plan was to do a photo-diary kind of thing, I'm not planning on bringing anything that connects to the internet.
I wanna buy a Vivitar Wide & Slim/a copy of such camera and shoot a bunch of film while I'm there. I'd surely post that stuff.

Also, I'm going to be there when Holi (festival of color) takes place, which I am ridiculously excited for.
