Thanks for the great insights guys.
I know I have to quit smoking cigarettes altogether. Too expensive, and too stupid. I really don't want to quit.
At a pack a day for almost 20 years, I am thinking that even if I just shift addictions it will be a step in the right direction. I think I will be easier to quit something that I have only used for a short time.
Sorry if I'm not making sense... I am highly intoxicated from the sedation and opiates.

Now it is fairly expensive and I've only used it with weed but the Ploom Pax is supposed to be a pretty great alternative. You can still use your own tobacco and it has a rechargeable battery and a 10 year warranty. If you're doing a pack a day it'll probably pay for itself fairly quickly.
I've smoked cigs on and off for the past 4 years but I am really good at quitting cold turkey after smoking 5-6 cigs a day for a few months. I don't know, the Pax might be worth a look
My throat has gotten so fucked from all the cigarette and weed smoke, I need to make the switch to vaping only.

Everyone I know who's quit has either done it the AA style way (one day at a time, super positive about not smoking but outrageously negative about it, etc.), or simply worked themselves through it, as in forced themselves into being so physically busy they didn't deal with the dreaded downtime.

When I first quit, working out was key.

I've gotten to the point where I only smoke after having a couple drinks. Now I just need to stop drinking beer everyday

I was doing really good until I celebrated finishing school and passing my state board exams.
Doing a lot of cardio helps you not want to smoke

Alot of people here in Arizona use them, I'm guessing that it's to hot to smoke real cigarettes, I dunno. Three people in my class use them. There's a electronic cigarette shop in downtown Tempe, their address is 420.

started using an e-Go T system about 2 years ago, so happy i started using it. smoking is horrible in so many ways
theres always some cutting edge new shit coming out. when i got mine 2 years ago it was the new thing and it was over $100. now you can get the same shit for 25
look around, there are some good e cig forums about people who know their stuff and are more than willing to help.
i buy my liquid stateside because it tastes better. one of the biggest liquid companies is out of china. it's cheaper but it tastes nowhere near as good
be wary of any hearsay stuff you might hear about the "dangers" of e-cigs. be aware that the fda (& cig companies of course) is trying to give e-cigs a bad image because theyre not currently taxed, unlike tobacco which is obscenely taxed. take the time to do your own research.
i smoked for 12 years and towards the end i was coughing up shit all the time. i dont cough up shit anymore. plus countless other benefits. that's fucking good enough for me.

Just jumped on the e cig bandwagon a couple days ago. I've gone from nearly a pack a day to 4-5 cigs a day since I've started. I kinda like the e cig better in some ways. Better taste and way cheaper in the long run

I'm in the quitting stage myself, after smoking for twenty years. Bottom line, We are mentally and physically addicted. There's no half-assing this. I've cheated twice now after gone one full week without, but, I'm not letting be an excuse to start back up. Substituting is a half ass attempt in my opinion. An addict (which is what we are) doesn't just cut down or switch to the lesser of two evils. You need positive support and determination. At this point in my life, I'm fully feeling the effects from smoking. So for me I've realized and have been telling myself that I will be dead from it within the next 20 yrs if I don't stop now. If I'm lucky. That's the truth of the matter. There comes a point where we just have recognize that, stop ignoring it and take quitting serious. I now look at myself no different than a severe alcoholic or heroin addict; in that, this is a serious life threatening addiction that is tough to break, maybe not as painful etc...but I've quit many times before without success. I wish ya the best of luck. I'm sure you have it within you to pull away from it.

still using mine all the time, just really glad i dont smoke anymore
i love all the bullshit in online media about how e-cig liquid is dangerous to children, 2nd hand vapor is harmful
ive read so much stupid shit about e-cigs lately that is just plain ass wrong
like how e-cig liquid tastes like cotton fucking candy and little kids cant get enough. i dunno about you guys but when i accidently get my eliquid in my mouth, it's the nastiest foulest shit ever
i noticed vice doing a bunch of completely bullshit stories about e-cigs...also noticed that fox recently bought a huge portion of vice (heard it was 40-45%)
now why would fox want to push pro-tobacco agenda
i have no idea
another "Fact" that was hammered on by vice really hard because big tobacco:
e-cig users need to DEMAND child proof bottles so these little kids stop eating all our delicious e-liquid
every bottle ive ever gotten has been childproof
ever
3 years ive been doing this
even the cheap eliquid bottles from china are childproof

Just upgraded my vaping rig. Using an Innoken iTaste MVP battery & Kangertech Aerotank for a tank. It's quality as fuck. I'm digging it.
