Which loopers can retrigger samples (like the DL4)?

The Infinity can, I'm pretty sure a mode on the RC2/3 can as well but I'm not sure

You can also do it on the RC20XL, but you press stop with one footswitch and play with the other

After considering it for years, I've finally saved up the cash and got an EHX 2880 on the way should be here tomorrow. Ive tried the headrush and the dl4 but both seemed to dampen the sound I ran into it. The dl4 was super fun with reverse and half speed (or double speed). Ive had alot of fun with it. Ive heard the 2880 clips easily but I have all the volumes of my pedals pretty low to match my guitars max clean volume so we will see how that goes. Ive got my hopes up. It seems like it would be my perfect looper. If not, itll be in bst or ebay in a week.

I loved looping on the DL4 back in the day when I had one but always wanted a liiittle longer loop time, since I usually do very slow long (obviously) pieces. Got the M9 but don't enjoy the looping as much on it Also really miss messing with the knobs after recording a loop. The M9 works well but the feel isn't really there. I wish it had big knobs like the DL/FM/DM/MM4s.

I've got a superdelay too which I don't really like for looping. Only current looping device on my board is the dd-6 which is cool, but more for that programmy stuff. I use it for that and short loops/drones in between songs.

Used to have a RC20XL once too. Never really liked it for some reason... M9 with big knobs would be ideal.

Pics of your Ghetto Loop Station is what this thread needs.
Image
KEY FEATURES:
Input gain adjusts from squeaky cleans to dentistcore bloozy overdrive to hebby metul distortion
~7.5 seconds of looping action (~17 if you want really shitty sounding loops)
Overdub and monitor switches
Warbling modulation if you mess up cutting the tape
Potentially damaging loop/playback speed adjustment; ability to harness blue whale toans by recording while motor's spinning at lightspeed and playing back at normal speed
Loops degrade after 5-6 layers for lo-fi toans, first layer is the most prominent

My dream is to get like two more decks similar to this one (lots of headroom), modify them in the same way, slap them in a rack and make a footwitch so I can control the record/stop/play modes and speed without having to walk around all the time...
Some decks are roomier than others on the inside though, some of them are too much of a pain in the ass to mess around with.

ED-1 Headrush for me. Not the best, not the worst. Got some sweet delay and stereo delay options. Just no stereo for the looper. Maybe I should consider a ditto? Are they cheap? I dunno. :picard:

How do you go about using that as a looper? What modifications have you made? Ether way, jank as fuck. :animal:

But if there's something I don't like of loopers is to use them as one-person-band, trying to replace the creativity of other 4 persons sounds silly. youtube is full of these.
I think a lot of the dudes on youtube watch other dudes on youtube to record tracks like that.
I've been trying to think outside of the box when doing soundscapes/looping to NOT end up like those dudes

Indeed.

I can't find this video of a very cool use of a looper. Singer/guitar player loops himself playing for the whole song, and then when the playback starts he goes to play drums over it.
This guy does it, might not be the dude you were talking about though.
