I sleep like a rock. What's your address? I'll mail you a bag of my blood and you can derive a cure from it I Am Legend style.

I don't see harm in trying it once or twice. Just to see what happens.
Just make sure its on a day where you dont have much to do if something should go HORRIBLY WRONG.

Have you tried lifting weights man or regular exercise in general? It's amazing what that can do to help your sleep cycle.

I didn't like the sleeping meds they prescribed me. Made me all groggy and slow when I woke up. Melatonin was ok, but with any f these you cant take them every night or they will loose effectiveness, the best thing is to get lots of excersise and dont nap during the day. dont excercise for a few hours before you want to go to sleep either, let that tired soak in, relax and then turn in at a normal time.

tylenol PM totally did that to me when i tried it. generic ambien doesn't, luckily.

jWARious - i used to play basketball about 2-3 hours 4 or 5 times a week. and i stopped a few months back, but the 6 months before theat i was working out 2 or 3 days a week with my brother.
i liked being in better shape than i am now, and i need to get back to working out, but it didn't really change my sleep patterns.
lol. i actually sleep a little less. it brings up my energy levels which makes me want less sleep.
murrrrrrr.

I've had good experiences, I never woke up 'groggy' a little sleepy feeling (in a nice relaxed way) but well rested, with 30 minutes to chill with a coffee good enough normal.
However I would say, while they may knock you out early, i'm not sure about them keeping you asleep (half life isn't that long) for a full 6-8 unless you're actually tired, think (been a while now) I did wake up a few times after half a nights sleep still tired but not being able to get back to sleep cause my body was done sleeping... so if you could take them twice might be a good idea to try 'em out so you don't spend a day having woken up 3 hours early cause you went to bed early.
I don't know what the stuff we get compared to yours is like but it's illegal in the US...

I have a good friend who's done some hilarious stuff on Ambien. Like once he bought a clear lucite Flying V on eBay and didn't remember until he received notification that he'd won the auction.
Another time he was sketching ideas for guitars, which he showed me the next day - sketch by sketch, they got more and more abstract/expressionist, until the last picture which was just a mass of dots and lines on the page, in a vaguely guitar-ish shape.
