there is a digidelay at the local GC I may try to grab to get this effect
I can't remember if the hold function worked this way on them or not but I think it did

It did!
:O just remembered my dad has a dd3 he doesn't use. Stutter time.
Also, that guy is so good at pedals, like what...

Great stuff indeed!
[stupid mode on]: I think I don't get what you guys are talking about, a looper that only records if you step on it, that's kinda always what happens isn't it? [stupid mode off]

these vids are tight, pretty cool of Nick to do this, in the past he's not really been one to talk gear or pedals
Yeah I was pretty surprised to see him actually reveal what he's using. It's always been really difficult to decode pictures of his boards because everything is covered in tape or paint

Well he uses a dd-5 which only records while you're holding the switch down, but if you just tap it in that mode it'll only loop a really short sample so you get stutter sorta sounds. If that makes sense.

Lol from the video it sounded like he didn't even know half of them himself

really need like a DD or something that only records when you step on it
that's how he gets some of the coolest sounds
yeah that's one thing I really miss about the DD-7, it was really easy to get the quick loops that sound kinda sample like and unguitarish. which is exactly what nick is using in those vids
I just got a DD-3 because of Tera Melos. May get it drasp'd to make the holds even sharper.
Okay, so I'm a dumb idiot and apparently the DD-3 only holds while you actually have the switch pressed. I need a DD-5.

Ah, cheers, got it now.
I'm looking to buy a Hexe Revolver II to get those type of sounds as well as others.

looper beginning of chain is so flipping smart too
I always loop end of chain because I like layering the effected signal but looping begining of chain would let you affect the looped out sound
I may have to re route my timebender to before a few more things
I was also amused by the fact that on some of the pedals he wasn't quite sure what they were, pretty cool
and the EQD love is well deserved

Digidelay also loops only when the footswitch is depressed. I believe the hardwire delay is the same way.

BROS DIGIDELAY WILL DO WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.
or you could just set the delay time really fast with high repeats on the DD3, then click it on and off.

If you're not going to grab this one let me know because I'm going to. It's the cheapest one on gc-used
