You've been really angry lately bro. There's no need to throw rage at people who are trying to help.

Do you at least have insurance?

Also I dated an Argentinian girl, she said the country didn't do so well with the GFC.

D.o.S. was not trolling you. He may not have been gentle about not having the guys name on there, but choosing sending out a very valuable package to a foreign country without a name and assuming it would get figured out is a very pertinent detail. It truly sucks that you might be out $600 bucks, but there's no need for the name-calling.

I hope things get worked out with the customs office.

Pigmaker. Stop being a dick and calm the fuck down.

You're initial posts weren't exactly clear and seem more intent on handing out insults and offensive slurs.

Yeah, your sitiation is shit. It fucking sucks that he filed a claim after he was the one who fucked up. Has the claim been resolved?

Next time, try to be a bit more clear in stating your situation before you go hating on you ILF bros. We're not fuckin' mindreaders and I don't think anyone was having a go at you, they were either stating opinons or suggestions based on the limited info you had supplied at that time.

Chill the fuck out dude. We all hope you get either your pedal back or get the cash released.

Looking to vent when drunk, regarding a problematic international transaction while in the middle of dealing with a toxic living situation....is enough to make anyone angrier and go off on a misdirected tangent when opportunity for additional conflict manifests.

This thread will be reread, there will be bad feels and apologies.....while life goes on.

I understand this sentiment all too well, having been in a similar position while resulted in considerable loss.
Had to modify my terms of sale as a result.
I will ship worldwide to this day; its unfair to punish international buyers by denying them access....however, it is not the seller who should assume the risk of such a transaction, and I now require ppg when shipping anywhere outside of the USA.
I'm not looking to scam anyone, and I'm certainly not looking to be scammed...by carrier and customs services which have become unreliable and even corrupt.
I'm much more trusting of the person on the other end of the transaction than the middlemen a-skimming; and hiding behind legal jargon/boilerplate that make claims and inquiries a nightmare of headaches should something go awry.

Perhaps signs of the times...nothing works, nobody does their job. :oldrant:

Good luck with the outcome...we never forget those lessons learned the hard way.

Whoa dude. I dont think anyone is trolling you. D.o.S is a well respected forumite. Even though were masked by avatars and user names, we all try to keep good reputations. I dont think any of us are getting enjoyment from others misfortunes, in fact, I think alot of us feel bad enough to want to help each other(jwar relief for example). But when you blow up and and act shitty towards dudes here, nobody is going to join your pity party.

As for your situation, I honestly think it was pretty dumb to send something worth that much with out having more info. When I sold my DSI Evolver to a dude in alaska, we exchanged like 10 emails and talked on the phone twice. he even went as far as to look me up and found my criminal record and wanted to cancel it but we talked and it went super smooth. Ive done deals with guys all over the world with almost no issues. As for the customs thing, if I was a customs officer and I was looking over a package with no name on it, id probably hold it. It was irresponsible on your part. Just because you had a bad international deal doesnt mean the rest of will. Nor should you suggest that nobody should make international deals. Thats not fair.

Im sorry you might have lost money, a lot of money. But mocking and abandoning us isnt going to get anyone on your side.

Sucks to lose money and be frustrated. Sucks.

But if it makes you feel any better I have sent a bunch of mountain bike gear to South America, including frame and double crown forks... And everytime it got there but it often took more than a 5 weeks... mind i was mostly sending stuff to Brazil. In my experience it always worked out in the end, and the buyers were very patient and understanding.

I hope it works out for you. Maybe your guy will contact the customs office, and with some luck complete the transaction.
Either way try to contain the rage cause it sure as hell won't grease any wheels to get this worked out for you.
Any ILfers in Argentina in the region you sent that misadressed pakage? Damn wishful thinking, eh?

So nice to know that being from continental europe means being from a borderline third world country

anyway... he didn't have an address on his paypal account? :wha?: that's kind of sloppy and really messes this up, because if he didn't, you couldn't have double-checked the address

i somehow thought that was a required information :idk:
