Yeah; Sonic Stomp =/= Boosta Grande.

I had a Sonic Stomp for a little bit as well as a Sonic Maximizer Rack Mount Version. Using them on bass guitar I found that neither of them did anything appreciable for my tone. At least nothing a fresh set of strings couldn't cure. It was one of these supposed "tone improvement" pedals that to my ears wasn't worth the wasted pedalboard space. Perhaps in a recording environment they are useful,...but I 86'd stuff like that years ago in order to accommodate MOAR FUZZ. So good job avoiding IMO.

The only pedals on my board that don't contribute cool sounds are a tuner and a line selector.

As far as pedal order goes; there is some conventional wisdom like placing compression in front or an envelope filter will mess with the vibe of the filter sweeps. Does conventional wisdom absolve you from experimenting and doing your homework; absolutely not. The whole point of pedlulz is experimentation and being unconventional.

So I tried the BBE Green Screamer and it was awful!!! It took every bit of low I had, and I tried it before and after the Monarch. I'm running the Boosta Grande again but this time im running after the E.Q. Monarch instead of before, it seems to sound better :) I'm entertaining the idea of running a fuzz as a boost. Does anyone know of a decent fuzz that won't break the bank?

Maybe try the EQD Speaker Cranker?

It's more of a dirty boost and should sound nice with the Monarch.
